Problem you'll run into with any of the big 3 is that, the last I checked, their credits-for-certs lists were outdated, and while credits were offered for some of the older MS certs (like MCSE) the newer ones (like MCITP:EA) were still not evaluated. Then, if you look at Western Governors, which incorporates the accumulation of certs into their curriculum, the newer ones will provide you with credits while the older ones won't. So... either way you'll be looking at a lot of credits to accumulate for a BS. Your academic diploma / certs, were these credit-granting?
ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training | Find a Course or Exam I think Excelsior will go by the ACE recommendation so entering Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in the search criteria for Course/Exam Title: gives which I don't understand 6 credits ? You should enter all your certs in the ACE search, figure out what you think your credits should be, get an Excelsior User ID, Home - excelsior.edu , download their Technology catalog and see what their requirements are but I think their Computer Science degree requires calculus, discrete math, data structures, all the "normal stuff" I think they have an Information Technology degree which is more cert friendly
WGU has changed their admissions requirements recently, but I think with that list of certs you should be able to get in without issue. Excelsior will listen to the ACE recommendations, but the ACE recommendations are disappointing for most of those programs. You can spend years (and some $$) prepping for a CCNA to get what, 2 units? If you're into programming, the Excelsior program is a good pick. I think you'd get better mileage out of certifications with WGU. Granted, their credit hours don't line up with ACE, but certifications make up a bigger chunk of the IT concentration requirements than they would elsewhere, so you might finish faster.
One of the key here is the ablity to get foreign credits evaluated by a third party and then accepted by Excelsior. What courses were in "Diploma of Computing & IT " ? ACE seems to recommend 1 semester hour for your Project Management Basics Certificate ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training MCSE 2003 was 9 credits for me. I just finished my BS in IT at Excelsior, almost done entirely via exams. It took over 3 years for me. Are you planning on using CLEP/DSST exams to test out of the majority of the general course requirements or want to take online classes? What country are you located in now?
Be careful of taking this route. Some college don't accept Certs credit for their Master program. I've spoken with an adviser at UIS and she claimed that they don't accept credits from Certs programs for their Master program. She stated that Certs credits are not from accredited school. I am confused but I will keep trying to get in.
