Where could I find some cheap college-level correspondence courses (not online courses) in the following subjects: English, Bible, Geography, Sociology, History?

Again, I'm looking for print-based, not online courses.

    Thanks for any help.

Just looking now to renew my teaching certificate the fastest way possible.

I'm posting this from my not-so-smart phone, so I will not be able to provide links, sorry. There are several I can give you off of the top of my head.

    1. University of Wyoming; $109/credit

    2. Brigham Young University; $150/credit

    3. Colorado State Uiversity - Pueblo; $150/credit

    4. Utah State University; $225/credit

The fastest way for me to renew my credential was to go back to National University, because they have one-month classes. I finished the required courses in about two months. The only problem is the fact that it wasn't cheap, so it might not fit your requirements. I paid about $900 per class. As the old saying goes "Cheap, fast, good; pick any two".

That's something that definitely should be considered, and I actually did, but I just couldn't afford it, as their tuition for one course now is almost $1600.

Agreed, that's too much just to renew your credential.

Would something from Aspen U work for credential renewal?

If you pay out of pocket any class grad or undergrad will cost you $900 with National University via their Peruvian office.

I'm afraid not; I need an RA school.

I don't know what's involved in renewal, but can you take graduate level courses with an EDU prefix? If so, annenberg media has tons of them for CHEAP. Less than $100 per credit, all classes are either 2 or 3 credits and all have EDU prefix. Teacher Professional Development and Teacher Resources by Annenberg Media the credit is offered through Colorado State I believe, and it's correspondence -not online-. You watch the videos and mail in the homework.

Go into the "courses" tab and follow the links for "credit"

This is a great find, Farina -- thanks!

I was just about to post a new topic about cheap graduate-level writing courses.

Do you know of any others?

    Greetings,

Both the best and the worst RA correspondence course I ever took cost about the same. Chestnuts are for squirrels. ;-)

I thought I would add this...... at about $27 a credit hour Seminary Extension (DETC) is about as cheap as college credit gets.
