How much did your four-year degree (BS, BA, etc.) cost?

What were your out-of-pocket costs to complete your four-year degree? Please include costs you were/are responsible for including student loans, books, fees, etc. Do not include lost wages or grants. If you have multiple 4 year degrees, include only the most recent degree and the costs associated with the previous two years of education. For example, if you have an associate's degree and then graduated with a bachelor's degree, please include the cost of the associate's degree. If you already had a bachelor's degree and then used advanced placement to earn an additional bachelor's degree, then include the costs of the last two years of the previous degree to the final two years of the last bachelor's degree.

If you haven't graduated yet, you can still participate by estimating your costs to complete your bachelor's degree.

 

I was fortunate enough to have full scholarship that covered all of my undergraduate expenses.

My graduate education, however, has been an entirely different matter.

 

I actually had a profit during my undergrad. In my country the best schools are the Federal Universities. They are all very tough to get in, but if you do get in it's all free (tuition, fees, etc...).

And then I got a research scholarship, so I was being paid to do historical research - and I used the research as the basis for my final project (a capstone project, very similar to a Master thesis in the USA).

I had the same situation. With a combination of scholarships and grants, I had a net profit.

 

I used tuition assistance while on active duty, then the GI Bill after getting out of the Army, so my bachelor degree did not cost me anything.....well, it didn't cost any money anyway... My masters on the other hand I had to pay for.

 

roughly 20 CLEP tests at about $60 each ($1200 but they are more now) plus 1 year enrollment at TESC $2500 plus 30 credits at TESC ($150 *30=4500) so I spent about $8500 add another $1000 for books and resources, I'm rounding it to an even $10k. I had a pell grant for $5000 and the rest was out of pocket over 18 months.

 

I guess Poland has a similar system to that one in Brazil, so my undergrad/grad cost nothing, and I was getting some sort of a scholarship based on my GPA for 4 years out of the total 5 years of the program.

 

Does 6 years of military service count?

Between my AA and my BS, when I did the math, it came out to around $11,200+/-

 

My Dad paid for my undergrad degree. IIRC, it was under $10,000.
