    "commonly?" I'm pretty sure that in all my trips to the doctor/hospital I've never seen a leech. Maybe you'd like to provide some evidence of this icky pseudo-factoid?

    My coworkers friend was in med schools years ago and made some leech comment. I thought it was a joke but he said they are pretty commonly used. Mostly with swelling and blood clots or something like that.
