I am very much wanting to do the DPA at Valdosta because its the only PHD I can reasonably afford. But the problem is that I have not taken the GREs. I did already finish the MBA program at Walden U, will this be enough?

I sent an email to Valdosta but they havent responded yet.

Also, I am in Thailand at the moment so going to the actual school is very inconvenient. Can I avoid having to go there every semester?

I know there are a few people here who are doing this program now, I am curious about your experiences.

    thanks

Get real, >>>>> say with Walden U

BTW, you can't avoid the requirements (?) Might want to try a UK school!

Not likely - check their web site for admission requirements:

No, you will not be able to avoid the GRE. They did take other tests in place of the GRE for a few in the first admissions group, but have since stopped.

You will not be able to avoid the residency, it is an integral part of the program and I believe a part of the NASPAA accreditation requirements. We had a guy from Hong Kong in the first cohort group that made the trip every semester, so you will not be able to play the time-zone card.

    What do you mean? .....

Walden might be your ticket to Doctorate heaven, you understand the process.

    Cheers,

Walden is way too expensive and I didnt enjoy it very much to be honest. But I need something that doesnt require physical presence or a GRE. Northcentral and TUI seem to be the cheapest options but they are still much higher than Valdosta. I think 2-300$ per credit is my limit.

    uh, thanks

i want a PHD but i only have a certain amount of money to do it. id rather have a "Sh_t" one than none at all. or, better yet, maybe a halfway decent one thats low cost.

Being serious I would rather buy one of these legitimate doctorates for $29 to $100 rather than buy some of the doctorates offered by less than wonderful schools

Plus for a few extra dollars I can be licensed to perform marriage ceremonies in California.

    Very funny.

But I'm not interested in opinions on the subject. I was trying to get hard figures on the cheapest RA doctorate. Valdosta is out, and I think I'd rather have a DBA anyway although I'm open to other subjects.

I think you will find NCU is the lowest cost RA doctorate in the USA (at least it was when I was enrolled in one there there a few years ago).

My 2 cents, pass on NCU
