    PULLMAN, Wash. —

Washington State University plans to offer an online MBA program starting this fall.

If approved by university regents this Friday, Washington State will be the only public college in the state to offer such a program online.

The proposed program would cost a student more than $30,000 to complete, not counting books or other materials. The school says all costs of the program would be covered by tuition.

Washington State has already established a successful online program for undergraduates in business administration.

They already have a website for the program.

This will be, as far as I know, the only AACSB MBA online that can be completed in 12-months! (starting Fall 2010). Only "part-time" starting Fall 2009.

I believe WSU when they say all costs are covered by tuition. Their Vancouver campus operates the same way: you pay your tuition and that's it. Very nice...

macatack: I believe Jacksonville State University's MBA is AACSB and can be completed in 12 months as well. There are at least one or two people on this board who are enrolled...

Sorry mac, you're right. I checked that old thread and it was just an initial glance that yielded me that memory. It is indeed a few years long realistically.

What's The Difference Between A Cougar And A Husky?

A cougar and a husky went to the bathroom. They both came out. The husky stopped to wash his hands while the cougar did not. The husky pronounced, "A good husky always washes his hands!!!" The cougar flashed a huge grin at the husky and replied, "A good cougar does not urinate on his hands!!!"

Um last year, we did win a conference game. Maybe you've heard of it...its called the Apple Cup:

Calling out my beloved Cougs for a disastrous football year is a little disingenuous considering the year the "other" Washington football school had.

    Cougs, 2W - 11L
    Huskies, 0W - 12L

    :p

Are you seriously arguing that Washington's horrendous season makes your year appear in any way better? I'd say it just adds to the sadness. [IMG]

An by the way, that second W was against Portland State, who not only had their second mediocre year under fearless leader Jerry Glanville, but also managed to waste a gazillion of WSU quarterbacks that game. I have a Masters Degree from Portland State, but I am the first to admit that PSU should have played local high school teams last season.

So, no. None of your wins count, sorry. ;)

Don't get me wrong. I like the Cougars and wish them the best for the future. I like pretty much anyone who plays Oregon.

A logical choice for Wazzu - few such options exist here in WA from the big name schools.

Neither U Dub nor Seattle U nor Gonzaga will go there - they're working on increasing the value of their brands through selectivity (last word I had from U Dub was that average GMAT was 680, and tuition was north of $60k. Seattle U's MBA tuition is approaching $50k, but its graduates are quickly achieving ROI).

Wazzu will never compete against U Dub on the basis of prestige (with the notable exception of its journalism school), so it is taking the opposite approach and increasing the value of its brand by expanding the size and reach of its alumnus pool. The DL and Vancouver campuses are part of that strategy.
