    ethical hacking....

    Not to sure what this means. Can someone enlighten me on when this would be ethical. Ethical is a big word in the computer arena. I am not sure there is such a thing at all.

    People tend to associate "hacking" with breaking the law, but really any sort of reverse-engineering is considered to be hacking. That's just not the case.

    This is an excellent video that talks about NYC Resistor, a hacker collaborative space that has produced such awesomeness as a home-made 3D printer (they now sell kits). They also produce art, software, robots -- in Germany, some of these collabs are sponsored by the government. Here, people just pool money to have a space.

    There's a funny part where someone shows his iPod collection -- at least a hundred of them, all pulled from the trash. =)
