    Hi everyone,

Most of you know me already, but for our newer members, I'm one of the "plank owners" of DegreeInfo, and also one of the original Administrators. I'd like to again thank Chip for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful community of like-minded people who are interested in education!

I was also one of the denizens of the old a.e.d. newsgroup, and have been involved in non-traditional education for well over 15 years. Because of restrictions placed on an education incentive at work, I have not (yet!) completed a degree entirely by DL, but I extensively used CLEP, DANTES, correspondence courses, & the portfolio credit process in my undergraduate programs, and completed my graduate degree with only two visits to the main campus; one because they had to see my original DD-214, and the other to pick up my diploma (which they would have mailed, but I was impatient).

For any lurkers that are interested in non-traditional or distance education, please jump in! We don't bite, and from our active members, there are people with extensive knowledge of almost any field of study, as well as the more well-known DL programs.

The only dumb question is the one you don't ask!

Yeah, we all owe you a lot. You even pointed me in the right direction to land some online teaching gigs; you were two-for-two. Now if I could only find that address to mail you a check.... ;)
