Hi based upon my understanding in case I do have some time left on my side, I would like to explore the options of simultaneous multiple 5 week courses. What are the online DL universities that offer that option? I have heard of Western Governor being one. But can you tell me if a student can take three such courses in one go?
The only other university I am aware of that offers terms this short is Salem International University...4 weeks each. Pug
Joe, I was not trying to brush you off in the other thread, I just thought you had a valid question and that it might get more exposure as a new thread. Taking three graduate level courses would be a severe strain on a persons personal and professional life. I personally could not do it. I tried to take two MBA courses at once while working full-time...it was not worth the trouble. For me or my family. Of course I am not as smart or driven as most posters on here, and generally have a negative attitude towards college and formal schooling so those may have contributed to a rough go at it also. I'm in it for the money and nothing else. Best of luck to you, Cory
Salem's classes are only 4 weeks long and you take one at a time (They won't let you take 2 classes at a time - according to the adviser) This would let you complete the program in 12 months. Ashford University will not allow you to double up on classes until you take 3 courses and get a B or above in all of them. Even at the rate you only cut the program from 18 months to 12-15 months (Required classes are not always avail. and the school does have some holiday weeks).
I agree. I only take one MBA course at at time. That is all I can handle between work, union work, and home remodeling. I am frazzled! Abner
Well as I was trying to find more such institutes that offered accelerated degrees I found Biola university being regionally accredited by Western association of schools and colleges and they have a 5 to 7 week course schedule that allows one to get a BA in 18 months (Organizational leadership). Although it is not a masters degree, still just in case you were interested.
Biola is a B&M university located in Orange Coubnty, CA, and students are subjected to heavy doses of christian religion (even in business courses). However the only person I know who attended Biola loved that aspect of their courses.
You can actually take two to three online learning courses at the same time if you wished to. You just have to request special permission from an advising contact info of the school. Take for example University of Washington Online Learning.
At WGU, you sign up for the min. amount of courses. How you do them is up to you. I worked on one at a time. When I came to some waiting time (grading), I would start on the next. My experiance was at WGU was at the undergrad level
