Is there a reason that I cannot see signature lines in the posts? I used to be able to when I was lurking.

This is good to know, I plan on taking at least five of them.

    Introductory Sociology
    History of the U.S. I
    Western Civilization I
    Biology
    American Literature,:tired:
    American Government, :tired:

I only need to take one DSST, intro to world religions. Although, I do hear that public speaking is very easy.

    I really can't see anyone's signature. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Anyone or some people? Signatures are optional.

If I opt out for myself does that keep me from seeing others?

These are all lumped together on my transcrpt as "test scores", so I can't tell you which are DSST and which are CLEP. However, I did pass all of them by learning the topics on the tests and self-studying on Wikipedia. Before coming across like some sort of testing champ, I should admit to failing Here's to Your Health!! (>.<)

    CLEP/DSST:
    Introduction to Business
    Introduction to Computing
    Human Cultural Geography
    Ethics in America
    Introduction to World Religions

    Excelsior:
    Ethics Theory & Practice
    World Population

  13. CLEP Analyzing & Interpreting Literature 6/2013 50 (!)

On almost every ranking, this is ranked as easiest; however, I passed with the minimum score and then only because the test preparation book had the exact same passage so I had seen it before. I'm wary of taking another as I can't really afford to put down the money and fail :-(.

CLEP Analyzing and interpreting lit was a joke! i signed up 5 days before the test, did some flash cards on quizlet for about 30 minutes while sitting in my car waiting and passed with a 62. Ive never read poetry in my life either which i thought was kind of funny because i had no idea what half of them were about. i finished the test with 12 minutes left also.

Yeah, I took Analyzing and Interpreting Lit one first back in my day, and it was the easiest one I ever did. I often advise people who are planning to do a lot of CLEPs to start with that one as a confidence booster.

How is the DSST environment and humanities? I'm taking it next week. It is my first DSST. Any advice?

That must be a fairly new test. I hadn't heard of it before, so I checked, and it's actually Environment and Humanity: The Race to Save the Planet, which is much different than a Humanities exam (offered by CLEP for 6 credits).

Do you have a degree plan, or are you just trying to accumulate random credits by exam?

It's an old test. I took it a few years ago and thought it was easy. I studied using only the Instantcert flashcards, but I don't know if the test has been revised since then.

I took a total of thirty-three or thirty-four of those exams. Out of all of those, the Substance Abuse DSST exam and the Chemistry CLEP exam basically hit me like a slap to the face. For the DSST exam, they rely a LOT on medical knowledge instead of the sociology behind the subject it covers. For the CLEP, you need a solid knowledge of Chemistry before you jump in.

Aside from that, I didn't encounter too many problems in the way of getting things done. Aside from one or two near-misses (aside from Substance Abuse and Chemistry), I took the vast majority of these exams without a hitch. A solid test-taking strategy and a bit of studying for the slightly harder ones always worked out in the end, and the exams all seemed to get easier as I took more and more of them. (I was even awarded 90 credits towards my bachelor's degree for them!)
