Obviously the muckamuck could not pass the bar, even the one in Afghanistan, that is why he is unlicensed to practice. So, what gives with him? consider the source and then try not to die laughing.

Thanks for the tip Randell. I will take a look later. Right now I am up to my ears in homework. Dumb question, how does a self winder work on a Rolex?

Oh! It's you, Abner! When I first saw the thread title "Anybody own a Rolex?" I thought we were being invaded by evil spammers. :D But you wouldn't do that.

Prof Leland Milton Goldblatt is dumber than the Military men, simply he has many degrees from Diploma Mill Institutes.

Wow! I don't have any watch. Watches are my least favorite. So, I don't think I can spend lot of money into a Rolex. Maybe, going to Chinatown in New York and purchase a replica. :)

Rolex's are automatic movements. They get "wound" by being worn and the motion turns the wheel in the watch. The winder turns the watch every 10-12 minutes for about 30 seconds and this keeps it from stopping. If you don't wear the watch, it will stop in about 48 hours. I have about 15 watches which include a Rolex, Tag, Movado, ESQ, Tissot, and a couple of cheap $100 watches and a few really cheap one (under $10).

What, no Omega? I'm shocked. Got another one for you to check out also Randell:

I'm a fomer military diver so I have a number of Seiko divers ( I was issued a Benrus, which if I had only kept would have been worth some serious bucks). some pretty cool mods can be done to these:

I'm tracking down some old original pieces for modification. They make great daily and beater watches (but can get pricey).

The Rolex no-date Submariner is still my favorite.

I think they are the Sea Dwellers. I have a Tag that is Blue/Gold and looks like the Rolex Submariner. I just don't like the weight of the submariner (or the price). I have been looking at a Rado for some time and that may be next. The other one I want is a Gucci but there is only one model and it is old so I can't find it. Now you found my weakness - watches and education - that is where all my money seems to go ;)

27 years and counting, Rolex Submariner, I wear it daily. A quick true story: Biking with a friend of mind in Switzerland he asked me “what time is it?” I replied with the time and he said, “yep that’s what my Timex has.” Now if I could just keep my Jaguar out of the shop.

I own several Rolls Royce's and best way to keep them out of the shop is to never drive them. My President Rolex and Mercedes however are maintenance free.
