    Hi all,

I have finally got accepted into Rutgers,(Rutgers Business School) EMaccy program. I will be starting on Jan 10' 09.

As a Singaporean, i am currently studying MBA in Finance in China but really can't understand the chinese finance term and their chinese so have decided to quit and go back to Singapore. I have applied for Rugters, EMaccy program and finally got accepted. The application process is a smooth one.
    Thanks all.

Congratulations, especially for being accepted into an AACSB program with a NA undergrad. Licensure will seal the deal for you. Which state are you looking to becoming licensed?

Yeah. I am happy as Rutgers is ranked of the the Top 100 Universities in the World. I have yet to decide which state to take the CPA exam since there's still time for me to think. Just a qns, since Rutgers is located in New Jersey. Will it be better to take CPA exam in New Jersey? Which state CPA is the most recognisable to most states?

Wow! That is great Kozen. This is quite a step, especially since you were accepted into such a prestigious school with a NA degree. Did you just submit your transcripts? Did Rutgers bring up the NA issue? Your comments would be appreciated. I think this is a good sign for the future of DETC and its transferability.

    Thanks,

    Abner :)

Thanks Abner. Yes, i have submitted all required docs for the enrollment. Application form, Degree cert, transcripts, my personal statement etc...and they checked on the accreditation of CCU. As i am now in China. I did a tele-conferencing interview with the Executive Director of RBS after submitted all required docs and the ED did mentioned about the accreditation and they accepted it. As during the interview, i asked him about the acceptability of DETC accreditation and they are fine. So cool....I love Rutgers.

    Hi Kozen,

You can take a look at the State of Illinois.
I believe you can get certified without any work experience as long as you meet their exam and educational requirements.

Congratulations! This sounds like an excellent deal from a well known and respected school.

I start my new program on the same day you start yours.

Thanks. Wow..Congratulations to you too. Yeah, indeed we will be starting on the same day.

I am thinking shall i register for the EMBA or MBA in Finance with AJU at the same times? since it's affordable. but i am not sure whether i can manage 2 Masters programs at the same time.

Thanks, Vinipink....do you think accounting is a difficult subject to study? especially my undergraduate degree is not accounting major.

It is not as difficult as many people make it, but most people will put a mental block, and they will believe it is hard, but if you have problems, get some basic accounting guides and that should help getting up to speed. Accounting is the basis for anyone that wants to run a business or be involved in business.

    Kozen,

What's about SMU? What do you think of it?

Which SMU? Are you referring to Singapore Management University in Singapore? if it is...SMU is the 3rd B&M University opened in Singapore and is the only private university in Singapore with education modelled after Wharton School in U.S. The 1st and 2nd University NUS and NTU are public university.

SMU has very good programs for their Business/Accounting and Economics programs and SMU is sponsored by the richest man in Asia, Li Ka Shing.

    Hope this ans your qns.

    Great Kozen, congrats!
Just out of curiosity, how much is the tuition for the Rutgers EMaccy? Are you able to finance it yourself? I'm always kind interested in how non-american degree financing works :)

Hi Woho...Thanks. The total tuition fee is US$21,000 for the Rutgers EMaccy. I am financing myself, no loans or whatsoever. I will be paying in full.
