    Hello,

I am quite interested in AJU's Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. What would be the total cost to me then for this program, if I were to take advantage of AJU's Sponsored Tuition?

    Thank you!

    :)

    Hi Instinct!

You can learn a good deal more about it at http://partners.aju.edu .

We just added a video from our President, Don Kassner, explaining the Sponsored Tuition Program.

To give you the short answer: All you have to do to take advantage of it is register with one our our partners (like Pupilcity), and you will be able to take advantage of our Sponsored Tuition Program.

If you would like, send me an email at [email protected]

Thank you for your reply. If I understand the program correctly, I would be responsible for the semester fee ($350), the proctor fee, and the books fees. Is this correct?

If this is the case, then the more courses I register for in a semester, the more money I would save.

    Thanks for your help!

I think it is just very rare that a school goes so far out of their way to answer prospective students' questions, especially using new media like forums.

I believe AJU is much less about advertising than they are about truly meeting the needs of their students.

For example, I am in the application process with AJU, and still have questions in regards to the transfer of a few credits. My admissions rep actually told me to wait to turn in my enrollment agreement until all my questions were answered. To quote her, she "would not want me to start the program with questions and then be unhappy." When I expressed reservation the waiting would mean missing sponsored tuition, she reassured me that my application fee alone had held my place until all my questions were answered.

Personally, I found it a refreshing change from pressure to "enroll now! ask questions later".

Would you care to elaborate how do you see this tread like an ad?

Glad to hear you are happy with your experience so far, Justin!

These posts aren't ads, they are apart of AJU's decision to take this program straight to the students who are looking for it, not to "lead generators" who's costs drive up tuition rates.

By speaking to students on message boards, we bypass expensive third party sites (you know, the "ENROLL NOW" people) and the fees that come with them. This, among other things, is what makes sponsored tuition possible. If we pay a third party site piles of money, we have to charge the students to recoup the costs. We stopped doing that, and now you guys reap the benefits.

Thank you to all of you who are helping us spread the word about this program. With your help, we can set an example and change to education industry.

    As Vinipink says: "GO GENERALS!"

Can somebody explain exactly what's in it for the companies that sponsor students' tuition at Andrew Jackson University?

I can not really say exactly what is in for the Sponsor companies(I am pretty sure that there is something), to me it is more important to ask what is in for me?, and until this date, I have not found a better deal like this one(yet). And if anyone can come with something better than this, please I really want to know. Because I will want to take advantage of it. :D

Maybe Jmorgan can comment on this question.

To me the whole Jackson marketing plan (See their news release) sounds similar to "miracle" cancer cures you see in the National Inquirer. And who else charges a “semester” fee in the hundreds of dollars? It sounds a lot like tuition under a different label.

They claim that they can do this program in part because it saves advertising costs. Yet you can see that they're all very high on the very expense Google and Yahoo sponsored search results.

Taking into account the semester fees, proctor fees and cost of books, I'm paying about $70 per credit hour this semester for three courses. Any way you look at it, that's a pretty good deal for a BA program.

$70 is a good rate. But how many can take and complete three courses concurrently in the time frame allowed? And if you need more time aren't there additional fees?

I just started the semester, but the workload so far doesn't seem unmanageable. I'm also taking a course from Penn Foster College concurrently with the AJU courses. I have 16 weeks to complete the AJU courses. Yes, there is a fee if I don't finish in that time frame, but I don't see why I shouldn't be able to. I guess if I looked hard enough for flaws in the program I'd find them, but so far I'm enjoying it.

Every college have its good and bad, I have been taking 9 credits per semester and I have a full time job. Time management and discipline are the main elements here. So, its good for you if you take more than one class per semester because it lowers your cost of attendance and is bad for you if you only take one class per semester.

Just think about same as Netflix the faster you send the movie back the lower the cost per movie is. Same thing goes with gym memberships, they sale space they don't have but they are counting that people that buy these memberships will not use it, this bringing revenue without people using equipment, another example are banks, lending money they don't have etc...... It is all about economics. You have to be a visionary here, you can not be afraid of change, because change is good and is inevitable!!!!

Hi fellas. Would like to say I am very supportive of a person who expresses a concern about a school or new program and even outlines why they have concerns about it. But to be honest we should try not to use adjectives or chat talk because it amounts the same as slander, at least here on my end. If you say someone reminds you of a used car salesman, it doesn't really help me understand the direct reason of why. Slander also unfortunately makes your own credibility go down. If someone finds fault or mistakes made by AJU then by all means feel free, I'm all ears, but think it's best to analyze why and have a bit of debate about it.

Regarding "fees", well I know SFSU (San Francisco State Univ, brick and mortar) had a NO TUITION policy last I checked, but over $1000 "semester fee" plus various other smaller enrollment fees and lab fees, on top of books. I remember it amounted to like $1300 plus books, so is ~ $400 that much of a concern? I mean if it is then I'm happy to hear, but otherwise... All sides of the coin should be laid out, no?

Anyways I'm in the process of applying with AJU.

Oh TCORD, definitely looking forward to hearing your AJU log experiences (ASAP!)
