The University of Delaware www.udel.edu offers the Master of Education in Educational Technology and the Master of Instruction in Educational Technology. In-state tuition is $408/hr., making the 30-hr. MI $12,240 and the 33-hr. MEd $13,464. Availability of the online program might be limited to southern Delaware (at least they only mention its availability in southern Delaware). Out-of-state tuition is $1033hr., so if the availability of this program were opened up to out-of-staters, the Master of Instruction would cost $30,990 and the Master of Education would cost $34,089. They are accredited by the Middle States Association and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and are affiliate members of the Teacher Education Accreditation Council.

Ted, the UF program website quotes tuition much differently, and considerably cheaper, for Non-FL resident/off campus.

I think you'll find the same for University of West Florida after taking the tuition waiver into consideration.

Sorry about the mistake. I had gotten my info from http://fa.ufl.edu/ufs/cashiers/fee-tier-20078.asp#credit , which, as you can see makes no distinction between bricks & mortar students and on-line students. According to FLA Expatiate's page, online tuition is $1017.87 per 3-credit course for Florida residents and $1107.87 per 3-credit course for out-of-staters, which computes to $339.29/hr. for in-staters and $369.29 for out-of-staters, which means this 36-hr. program costs in-staters $12,214.44 and out-of-staters $13,294.44.

The MS in Adult Ed is issued by the School of Continuing Studies and the MS in Language Ed is issued by the School of Education. At IU, both the university and the school names appear on the diploma, if that matters to anyone.

Ah! I was wondering what was up. Usually an institution will let you find, say, an online master's in education either by going in through the distance education page or the School of Education page. But that explains it. I just wanted to give people the heads up on how to find whichever program might be of interest to them.

From the Great State of Kentucky

Kentucky Commonwealth Virtual University www.kcvu.org is sort of an umbrella organization through which many (though not all) of Kentucky's distance learning programs are offered. KCVU offers distance master's degrees in education through the following schools:

University of Louisville www.louisville.edu offers the MA Higher Education and the MS Human Resource Education. At $544.70/hr., the 30-hr. MS Human Resource Education costs $16,341 and the 33-hr. MA Higher Education costs $17,975.10. At one time, they offered an MEd Autism (and maybe they still do), but I'm having trouble finding that link. They are accredited by the Southern Association and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

Morehead State University www.moreheadstate.edu offers the MA School Administration and the MAE Educational Technology. At $320/hr., these 36-hr. programs cost $11,520. They are accredited by the Southern Association and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

Western Kentucky University www.wku.edu offers the MAEd Adult Education, MAEd Exceptional Education, MS Library Media Education, and MS Physical Education. At $320/hr. in-state and $421/hr. out-of-state, the 30-hr. MAEd Adult Education and MAEd Exceptional Education cost in-staters $9,600 and out-of-staters $12,630, the 33-hr. MS Library Media Education and MS Physical Education cost in-staters $10,560 and out-of-staters $13, 893, and the 39-hr. MAEd Adult Education with Community & Technical College concentration costs in-staters $12,480 and out-of-staters $16,419. They are accredited by the Southern Association and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

Further distance master's degrees in education are offered by Kentucky schools outside the KCVU umbrella:

Campbellsville University www.campbellsville.edu offers the MAE Special Education: Learning & Behavior Disorders. At $295/hr., this 33-hr. program costs $9,735. They are accredited by the Southern Association and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

Northern Kentucky University www.nku.edu offers the MAEd Gifted & Talented. At $337/hr., this 30-hr. program costs $10,110. They are accredited by the Southern Association and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

Spalding University www.spalding.edu was reported in Bears' Guide (16th edition) as offering an online master's in learning and behavior disorders. They do offer the MAT in a Cohort Alternative format with concentrations in Dual Middle & Secondary, Learning & Behavior Disorders, Middle Grades, and Secondary & Other Grade Ranges, though I was unable to determine their residency requirements. At $595/hr., the 39-hr. MAT Secondary & Other Grade Ranges costs $23,205, the 42-hr. MAT Dual Middle & Secondary costs $24,990, the 45-hr. MAT Middle Grades costs $26,775, and the 47-hr. MAT in Learning & Behavior Disorders costs $27,965. They are accredited by the Southern Association and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

    Hello gentlemen,

I have been viewing and getting great info for years from this forum. Thank you all.

What could one do with a MA or MS in an Education field, but with no certification?
