Hi, I have got my PhD from a non-Western university. Now I am thinking of applying to the "PhD by publication" program in one of the UK university. I am eligible for this program due to the fact that I have several publications after the PhD. Do you think that this is a wise step or not? Will it enhance my chances of landing a faculty position? Thank u in advance
What's wrong with the PhD you already have? Just because it's non-Western doesn't mean it's not recognized. That you have additional publications as well is also helpful. Also, what sort of faculty position do you want to land? In what country? In what subject area? -=Steve=-
I live in the middle east (Gulf region) and most of the universities require a Western degree. I would like to apply for assistant/associate Professor. The subject is Computer Science.
