Seeing our Degreeinfo psychologists in action isn't doing very much for my confidence in their profession.

Exactly right. These threads are an occasionally recurring cold sore on the lip of DegreeInfo.

Steve, please don't throw the baby out with the bathwater! In fact there is a bottomline in threads such as this although I agree that they do get wayyyyy out of hand.

There is a clear problem with some students/alumni of certain schools not allowing other posters to express their opposing opinions/views. In this thread a poster, with good intentions, attempted to present a news article of interest that immediately resulted in unnecessary defensive statements relating how the school inquestion managed the situation appropriately (when if fact this was not the gist of the discussion or the point that the threads originator wished to convey). In previous threads, posters who presented any divergent perspectives with no axe to grind relating to a particular school were frequently misinterpreted and fierecely pounced upon by students/alumni from such schools as Capella. Quite frankly this is not the place to suppress freedom of thought and expression of posters with opposing views as long as posters are not out to denigrate a school with no basis or cause. And if a student/alumni of one of these schools displays a pattern of misinterpreting the motives of fellow posters with divergent perspectives resulting in flame wars that impede an open discussion, that is the basis of participating on this forum, then this should not be tolerated because it is disrespectful censorship. Wow......

I think I just became a Kizmet fan! To quote the Guinness commercials, "Brilliant!"

Proof that quality beats quantity in regard to postings.

An appropriate "last word" for this thread.
