Threat of the week from... Euclid University. And it's not even literate :)

So today we received the following letter, allegedly from "Robert Harris, An (sic) Lawyer of USA Court (sic), stating the following:

And something tells me that Martindale.com has no record of this Robert Harris :)

He's referring to this thread, which hasn't been active in 6 years.

This probably sets a new standard. At least most of the threats we receive demonstrate marginal literacy. But honestly, I'm not terribly surprised, given the school in question.

I must say that over the years, your deadpan humor has always made me chuckle. So, thanks. :)

As a criminal trial attorney for 32 years, I have (not surprisingly) never heard of that particular court. LOL
Maybe I just haven't been around long enough

No legitimate attorney would ever allow something so poorly composed to escape from his/her office. Myself SurfDoctor an moderator of the Degree Info is laughing.

It's a shame that he can't at least make it seem legitimate.
Sounds like he could use a distance learning course in English

I feel _offended_ by this link to my secret research database. Wikipedia is nothing in comparison to this fine work of knowledgeable intellulzuals.

Why do I have the feeling that e-mail was sent either from where Osama Bin-Laden got his head ventilated, or a from a mud hut in Africa? They should work on fixing their website links, rather than sending pointless, empty threats.

Chip, did you even bother to respond?

I haven't stopped to google it yet, but. . . aren't there like 8.5 million correctly written cease-and-desist forms they could have copied, and just changed a few names? Eeek. . .

Unfortunately this isn't true at all. You would be shocked at the grammar and content in letters some solo practitioners write.

Hey! At least he got "an administrator," and "a positive response." Maybe he earned some credits for those. Anyway, it is a laughable threat from Euclid University. A positive response is that he must consult with SOPA and PIPA prior sending out his message. Just saying....

Just be glad SOPA and PIPA haven't passed or maybe these threats would simply have been made to DI's ISP or simply had the domain name pulled.

Not just solo practitioners. The District Attorney in Durham, NC has decided that a certain judge is "out to get her." She has also decided that the Raleigh newspaper is attacking her unreasonably. She insisted that she had been quoted out of context and that the newspaper should publish all of her correspondence to them, so they did.

She writes like a 7th grader who is getting a C in English.

Because it could have come from either Pakistan or Africa - Euclid has links to both, although its head honcho, Fr. Laurent Cleenewerck, lives in California. Euclid claims a close connection with the University of Bangui, in the Central African Republic. Bangui was home to (deceased) former dictator Jean Bedel Bokassa of the Central African Empire -since demoted to "an Republic" :)

Bokassa was the evil turd who - among other reprehensible acts - engineered the murder of around 100 school-children, who protested the expense of their government-mandated school uniforms. The purchase was a severe hardship to their parents.
Bokassa lived and died in BAngui - and I've once or twice expressed the hope that "Useless Euclid" would do the same.

Coincidentally, today I saw in another forum a more-or-less definitive study of Euclid's degree-granting authority - none at all, apparently. Euclid protested to Accredibase Ltd. about that firm's listing it as unaccredited. Accredibase studied the documents etc. for about seven months and determined that Euclid should still be listed as unaccredited.

Thanks to the folks at DegreeDiscussion for this link. It's complete with some home addresses etc. of top Euclid people, if they are needed for replies to threats etc.
