Sweden to charge foreigners university fees starting 2011

The Swedes have discussing this for years. It now seems definite. No word on how distance programs (which are generally cheaper to run) will be charged

 

10K USD per year (average) seems a bit steep but I guess they figure that enough people will pay it so that it's worth doing.

Warguns - is there some general listing of Swedish online degrees?

 

Please search under Sweden or my user name and you will find appropriate discussions. Note that regular applications for Sept 2010 are closed; however, some courses and degree programs may accept late applicants.

 

Thanks to warguns, those courses are great! I started with Lund University GIS course, the course is very well taught and organized. You still have Spring 2011 for the last semester before they start charging in Autumn. But I notice that payment applies to students studying in Sweden. Hope that it won't affect distance learning student. From what I see there are plenty of great courses to be taken for one's interest or for academic advancement.
