Anybody know of a distance university offered organic chemistry course. I do not need the lab, so it can be 3 credit course. It will have to able to transfer to the University of Iowa.

    Thank you

    Distance Organic Chem I

Athabasca University has it, but it does have a required onsite lab although it is only 3 credits. Labs are offered several times throughout the year in Edmonton.

It's a good class, I got an A- in it which wasnt too bad considering all teh havoc going on in my persoanl life at the time. I am working on Organic II at teh moment, did the lab at the same time as Organic I, but still have the midterm, final and second assignment to go in Organic II... it's hard... lol

    Klink,

RIT offers a course called "Introduction to Organic Chemistry." Be advised that RIT operates on the Quarter credit system. Not sure how that would transfer to U of Iowa. Most likely, it would be counted as 2 semester hours...
Anyway, Good luck! If you would like to run a comprehensive google search looking for online organic chemistry courses offered by U.S. schools (the majority of whom should be accredited), enter the following text into a google search box

"distance learning" OR "online course" site:.edu

    Good luck!

Hey what happened to the Edit option?? I tried to edit my previous message immediately after I posted it.

    Anyway...

    Klink,

Ignore my previous google search string. Instead, enter the following search string in Google:

"organic chemistry" "distance learning" OR "online course" site:.edu
