I had not heard of this school, nor can I find it in my reference books or on the internet. I did find the following announcement, however:

Trident University of Technology, a major US University, has established a Centre of Excellence in Singapore to support students in the Pacific Rim. One of the key programmes offered is the BBA in Global Logistics Management.

It seems odd that a "major US University" should be so hard to locate.

I've never heard of it, but a web search turned up a most unusual course syllabus:

Yes, this university has advertised for a bachelor's degree in logistics management in Singapore. They indicate that they are an American university, but I was unable to secure any information on the internet. I was hoping that someone on this board could shed some light.

    Hi,

It seems to be very impressive from the view from Singapore

    Educating Asia's logisticians

Trident University of Technology, a major US University, has established
a Centre of Excellence in Singapore to support students in the Pacific
Rim. One of the key programmes offered is the BBA in Global Logistics
    Management.
This initiative by the university is the first in the region whereby
students and professionals in the logistics and supply-chain industry
can pursue continuing education from certificate to undergraduate level
by distance learning or on a part-time basis.
The Centre of Excellence also supports a strategic partner of the
university - The Australian Logistics Academy, who is a pioneer in
Certificate and Diploma level training programmes in Asia.
This approach to education through collaboration between leading
education organisations, professional bodies like the Logistics & Supply
Chain Management Society and leading companies in industry will see a
minimum of 2,500 students a year being trained at one level or another
    in the region.
Enquiries can be directed to the Society at [email protected]

    This is making anyone wonder

    Sue

    Re: Re: Trident University

Given what people have been flamed for around here, you've just turned yourself into a lump of charcoal with that one, Tom. "S&M 105"?? The photo must have been taken during hands-on lab excercises. LOL...

It is telling though, that this Trident University of yours is the only 'trident university' in the entire United States that I could turn up on Google, apart from a community college, the Med. U. of SC's trident medical center and a college newspaper.

Wouldn't "a major US university" have a whole bunch of webpages? Wouldn't it be listed on faculty and alumni webpages? Wouldn't it be mentioned somewhere in the media? If you put a legitimate university's name into Google, you get hundreds of hits.

This stealth Trident seems to have appeared suddenly in the Singapore-Malaysia area, advertising itself by news releases in trade publications:

    http://www.portsworld.com/news/nst2july30.htm

    http://adtimes.nstp.com.my/archive/2001/sep9.htm

There does seem to be a language school in Japan that calls itself 'Trident University'. It's probably unrelated to this Trident University of Technology, though the latter's Malaysian partner has a Japanese sounding name. There may also be a Trident University in Italy, which is mentioned on a Polish website.

People in Asia are already claiming Trident U. of Tech. degrees. If you scroll to the bottom of this page, you will find a speaker at a conferece that's doing so:

 Mea culpa, folks! The image link was broken when I visited the site.

Though if this Trident University is advertising in Singapore, one might think it has something to do with the caning laws!

I am currently attending TUI University, which is advertising a new TUI website

    Welcome to TUI University

Under the new university website they are advertising a name change

    Welcome to New TUI University

It appears that the name was going to be revealed in January 2011 but the month is almost over and nothing yet. So I did some research and this is what I found

    TUI University Announces New Name

TUI UNIVERSITY will now be known as TRIDENT UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL.

    I hope this helps......
