Hello all - glad I found this forum! I was all but set to resign and complete a BS or BA in Business Administration at WGU, but I really want to study Exercise Science. I'm 26 years old and have about 90 semester credits completed - 30 from a community college and 60 from a four-year regionally accredited brick and mortar school. I haven't had much luck finding Kinesiology or Exercise Science distance learning programs, unfortunately. What I have found is something promising at FHSU called the "General Studies" program: http://www.fhsu.edu/virtualcollege/degrees/bachelors/general/index.htm Under this program, I can study a pre-defined specialization called "Health Promotion" which is very similar to Exercise Science. I feel this would be an acceptable diploma for acceptance into graduate school to study Kinesiology. Can anyone comment on FHSU, that program in particular, or perhaps other options worth exploring? Thanks a lot!
Hi - Here's an old thread where one non-US program is referenced. Maybe that helps a tiny bit? http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?t=18830
California University of Pennsylvania has a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management Studies with a Wellness and Fitness Track.
How about this? "The United States Sports Academy is an independent, non-profit, accredited, special mission sports university created to serve the nation and the world with programs in instruction, research and service. The role of the Academy is to prepare men and women for careers in the profession of sports." It states that most of their programs are offered online and they are SACS (RA) accredited. http://ussa.edu/
