    I have a solution for all of this;

    MEN:
All men need to be like VP Pence.
Don't be like former VP Biden.
    Don't be around unaccompanied females.
Don't make eye contact with unaccompanied women.
Don't be alone with any women not your wife or daughter or sister or Mom.
Never touch a women not your wife for any reason.
    Never touch a women, period.
Don't make any sort of joke around women not your wife/girlfriend/daughter/sister/mom.
Don't flirt with women at work.
Don't make comments about how a women looks. Don't talk about their hair, makeup, or clothes.
Don't ever tell a women that she needs to smile.
Never help or assist an unaccompanied woman.

    WOMEN:
Define sexual harassment, sexual assault. Not in broad terms but in specifics. It's clear that many men cannot control themselves. These men need a defined line, with clearly defined limits. It can no longer be up to the individual female. You all have to come up with the terms, and then the men can follow those terms. Men are stupid, you need to spell it out. When you say you were assaulted, you have to say what the assault was. So that men can not do that assault anymore. When you say you were harassed you need to say the exact behavior.

    ALL:
The number one date rape drug is alcohol. Alcohol related sexual assaults and harassment make up the vast majority of these instances. We should have a conversation about alcohol and how it relates to men and women relationships. Single sex only bars. No drinking and interacting with the opposite sex when over a certain limit, since nobody who is under the influence of alcohol can consent.

We need grown up conversations about this.

That makes me furious! I wish she hadn't recanted.
Seriously- women can be victims of a crime, no one doubts that. But there seems to be some strange morph over the past decade that gives women a free pass to solicit attention and then act shocked and confused when they receive it. "Why yes, I did get naked and drink a fifth of tequlia with him in his appartment, but that doesn't mean I want sex." Uh, yes, that's exactly what that means. These women should have been raised better.

The first rule of self defense is, "Don't be there!"

As a male of the species, I recognize a potential for being beaten, knifed, etc. I'm just smart enough to see that the potential for such abuse is much higher in certain bars than in the A&P, so I know what to avoid. Usually. My smarts can be wanting.

Precisely. That is why I stay out of bars where fights may break out. I especially don't go to bars south of the border.

Smart. You can sing all the narcocorridos you want, at home. And you won't trip over decapitados in the doorway.

Exactly! He he! No gracias! I'll stay home, my bar hopping days were over long ago. On a side note. Last time I went to TJ, there was this bar. My wife and were walking by, and the MS-13 carnival barker kept trying to lure us in. I just said, "no gracias, no tomo" (no thanks, I don't drink). So he went on the next victim. Hells no I not going, and especially, not with my Irish lass! Chingos! My mama didn't raise no fool.
