Mueller is deeply conflicted. The day after being interviewed and rejected by President Trump to become the new FBI Director, Mueller turned around and accepted the job as special counsel. In the span of 24 hours, Mueller went from asking to work for the president… to investigating him. It was quite the somersault. At the very least, it created the appearance of impropriety which disqualifies him.

Yet, Mueller accepted the position anyway, even though he also knew the key witness in any potential obstruction of justice case would be his longtime friend, ally and partner, James Comey.

So the FBI Director works... "for the president"? You know, even in Russia they don't say things like that... out loud. This line of argument will not stick, let it go.

Also, Trump (or is it Goldman Sachs?) administration has "appearance of impropriety" written all over it; literally every Cabinet post is tainted. Your boy pushed the limits of propriety beyond the horizon. So you don't get to use this word and be taken seriously - especially if you stretch it like in Mueller's case.

Trying to discredit Mueller in order to deflect attention away from Trump & Co. It's SOP at this point. No one is buying it. It's not even a speed bump. The investigation continues.

If Mueller should be discredited then that will be by Mueller.

    No one, yes many.

Please let the investigation continue, all the way to Clinton and Obama.

Those Facebook ads Russians paid for in support Hillary and BLM are sure...interesting. Wonder what the Russians did on Twitter?

Interesting, and incredibly sophisticated, suggesting they had help from whithin. "Supporting" BLM and at the same time presenting it as a violent menace (which just happens to reinforce Trump narrative of "American carnage"). Clever.

Clever, but not unique. In 2014, hackers linked to Russia crashed the server of Ukrainian Central Electoral Commission (Centralna Vyborcha Komissija, CVK) during Presidential elections. Votes had to be counted manually. But they did not alter the data to promote pro-Russian candidate (arguably, either Tigipko or Dobkin), oh no. They made it so a far-right nationalist politician/militia commander Dmytro Yarosh, whose supporters are as anti-Russian as it gets, appeared to be leading the race. There were several Russian news stories on a "Nazi" winning Ukrainian Presidency, even so the CVK caught the problem and never announced Yarosh leading. For all his notoriety, Yarosh received the final tally of 0.7% of national vote, finishing in 11th place.

What we see here is smarter implementation of a similar tactic.
