How about Nancy Pelosy or Chuck Schumer? Pick your political poison! Any one of them will do quite nicely in the big picture.

Sorry, Abner, just a little joke there about Wasserman-Schultz. Seriously, how about a semi-conservative Dem like Manchin with sorta-kinda southern ties who can possibly appeal to the Rust Belt? You know, WV, mining country and all that. Could maybe give Trump or Pence a run to land some of those states back, the Bill Clinton strategy.

That sounds like a reasonable choice and way to go!

    HILLARY AGAIN IN 2020!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

If not her, the Elizabeth Warren. Please, please, please keep labeling half the country as misogynists, racists, homophobes, and white supremacists.

The strategy of identity politics is a winner for sure!!!

I don't think the Democrats have any idea what they're doing at this point. If I had to guess I'd say they're going to wait and see what happens in the mi-term elections before any real decisions are made.

I' ll answer slightly different question : I personally want a rematch. #stillwithher

Otherwise, I like Harris, but can live with almost any Democrat. Hopefully NOT Bernie. Also in fantasy world, I'd change Ukrainian Constitution and elect Joe Biden for Presidency. Or Jen Psaki.

In NYC, DWS is a manhole cover.

This clearly isn't an endorsement, but of all the ones who are mentioned as serious contenders, I dislike Cory Booker the least.

Sure, why not? I mean, he's not Hillary Rodham Clinton, but he'll do.

Frankly, I don't think the Reps or Dems have any idea what they're doing these days. Whatever happened to people with at least some integrity or talent like Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Ford, Carter? Reps and Dems in there, all of them decent human beings. Can't we do better than we're doing?

Not a big Biden fan, but we could definitely do worse than Biden.

Only if the biker chick is his Veep. Or that state trooper not appreciating Biden's hand on his leg. I guess the girl cringing at his groping is not yet old enough.

You guys are doing worse than Biden right now.

But I am nostalgic about Uncle Joe for a different reason. He was Obama's point man on Ukraine; on more than one occasion, he dropped by, schooled some politicians, gave a speech to Rada (Parliament) and pushed the ne'er-do-goods to pass some badly needed reform. Did some of these things over the phone, too. He was sort of a part-time President of Ukraine. I wish he'd take the gig full time, especially since many people had soured on the current occupant the Chocolate King. John McCain is also very popular over there, and good at pissing off the Russians, but he probably needs time to address his health now. One can dream though,

OK, seriously: I'd pick Kamala Harris, but, again, can live with Booker, or Gillibrand, or Biden, or Warren, or any reasonably prominent Democrat, Harris seems like a competent politician, which would be nice change of pace after 45's term; she's also relatively young. Booker is also both these things, but he would not break the highest glass ceiling ;). As a HRC fan, I'd like that little bit of vindication.
