    Uh...it's a dumb strategy. We should be out of there so fast all you see is dust, all you hear is a giant sucking sound. GTFO!!

    Too bad Obama was 100% full of crap when it came to scaling back war, or else that one could have ended eight years ago.

    They refer to people in the military as "serving", I guess that's true, since they're serving as a distraction for embattled presidents....

    It's not more troops. It's just we admit how many of us are already there.

    We should have been gone the day after bin laden was killed. This makes two lying Presidents who said they would end it over there, Obama and Trump.

    Bush = 8
    Obama = 8
    Trump = ?

    Politifact Obama Promises Broken
    End the war in Afghanistan in 2014
    "President Obama responsibly ended the war in Iraq and will end the war in Afghanistan in 2014."

    I agree. Both were full of shit! I don't think Trump will do any better. Though it's to early to tell.

    It took Russia 17 years to leave Afghanistan, IIRC. But THEY learned...

    No, it isn't, since he's already full of crap, just like Obama was.

    They are in Transnistria for longer than that now. They fought an open shooting war in Georgia in August 2008, and fight a much bigger, if "hybrid", war in Ukraine since 2014. They fan flames in Syria. To suggest that they "learned" is to pay stunningly little attention.
