Senate Russia hearing: Rubio divulges hack attempts

Senate Russia hearing: Rubio divulges hack attempts - CNNPolitics.com

"There were upwards of 1,000 paid Internet trolls working out of a facility in Russia, in effect, taking over series of computers, which is then called a 'botnet,'" Warner, a Virginia Democrat, said Wednesday. "If you Googled 'election hacking' leading up to the election and immediately afterwards, you wouldn't get Fox or ABC, The New York Times, what you got is four out of the first five news stories that popped up were Russian propaganda."

Gosh, I guess Stanislav called it correctly.

Given that no one knows what Flynn thinks he did, or what he knows, so far this is nothing more than an inkblot test. Trump supporters think it's irrelevant, Trump detractors are saying that this means Trump's days are numbered. But neither actually knows jack.

The senator seems to confuse paid trolling and botnets, which are different things. Other than this, the flood of Russian Internet baddies is just trivially true observable thing. I guess it is easier to notice when your native country's Internet traffic is still largely in Russian AND your native country is nevertheless in an actual shooting war with that wretched polity calling itself "Russian Federation".
Interesting fact: citizens of travel banned countries killed exactly zero Americans since 1991. Russian nationals, on the other hand, are behind Boston Marathon bombing (killing 6 Americans, injuring 280) AND the downing of MH17 plane (killing 298, including 1 American). That last one was likely perpetrated by active-duty Russian military, too.

We know Flynn was a welcome contributor to Russia Today. We know about that snake Manafort's background. We know Russia hacked the DNC and released the info to damage HRC campaign. And now this. It is already looking worse than anything the press savaged Clinton for.

Well, you might not know, and I might not know, but the FBI has been monitoring this guy since last summer and I'll be they have a pretty good idea what he's been into. I'm guessing though that the question becomes this, "Why should we give Flynn immunity if we can get the same info from other sources?" If he really has done something bad:dunno:then prosecutors are not going to want to let him walk. If they can get the info AND prosecute him then they'll do it. If not they'll cut a deal. I know because that's what Erin Reagan would do.:yup:
