Fox viewers are gunning for Shep

I guess they only want to hear what they want to hear.

Fox News viewers are gunning for Shep Smith. How will Fox News respond?

I love watching Shep and Carlson Tucker.

The article referencing WP, which references...
Paul Joseph Watson, not all "Fox News faithful".
"Two people at rival networks say Smith is a short-timer at Fox..." - what two people? Two visitors? Two editors? Two senior executives?
The most I got out of the original article is that Mr. Smith Jr. is telegraphing other networks of his willingness to change and potentially take the Van Susteren or Kelly option. No evidence or mention of Fox viewers are gunning for Smith Jr.

The only mention of research (not actual research, just that Graham works for MRC) is the opinion of Tim Graham, that Smith Jr is potential to bolt. Nothing about the viewership...

So, factually, how did this became Fox viewers are gunning for Smith Jr. come about?

Same way most articles about any "controversy" are posted. One or two nimrods say something on twitter or in a blog and some lazy journalist picks it up and runs with it like sweetness headed towards the end-zone.

I'm generally a fan of Paul Joseph Watson, with the exception of his tendency to go nutjob once in a while.

Shepard Smith is one of an very few people on Fox that don't make me cringe. However, I don't see him much because who has cable TV anymore, really?

I have no idea. I do not watch Fox, or any other TV "news". They are so ... last century.

The only "cable" I pay for is the internet.
I 'read' almost all my news online.

In all seriousness, I realize that a lot of people still have cable TV. But more and more people just have Internet and get content through on-demand services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. I haven't had cable TV for years and almost never miss it. And whenever I'm in a position of having to watch shows with regular commercial breaks it's actually a little jarring.

Even I don't have cable TV anymore, and I am techno challenged. :) I guess they use for fiber optics now. I have AT&T direct TV (is that considered cable?)Is there a fee to use hulu? Is hulu an antenna. I wish there was an antenna that would work so I could get rid of my cable bill. It keeps going up!

Abner, I think SteveFoerster and I are even further away from where you are.

I have internet and that is it as far as cable goes. I have Netflix, Amazon Prime (and several other free channels through my Rokus), an antenna for local channels and that is it. I refuse to pay for anything else.

    Look up "cord cutters".

Thanks! I put that away in my cable company files. I have a two year contract at a certain low price. I know once it expires, they are going to raise the price like the other cable company did. When I first moved in to my house, I tried a regular antenna, but it wouldn't work because I live the hills and it doesn't get good reception. All I need is local channels since I hardly watch TV anyway.

Did you try that before or after the still-fairly-recent transition to digital broadcasts?

No, I tried it over twenty years ago when we bought the house. We had cable back then.

Then you may have better luck with an antenna now. Ask at whatever local store sells those things!

I suggest you try Walmart first. Try a cheap Mohu's indoor antenna first. If you can get 1 or more channels on it, an attic or even better, an outside antenna will do wonders.
