    FYI,

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/monkey-cage/wp/2017/02/28/news-coverage-of-trump-is-really-really-negative-even-on-fox-news/

"The early television news reviews of the Trump presidency are in and they are not good — not even on Fox News."

"Here is what this analysis found. Only 3 percent of the reports about Trump that aired on NBC and CBS were positive, while 43 percent were negative and 54 percent were neutral.

On “Special Report,” the Fox News program that most closely resembles the evening network news, 25 percent of the reports about Trump were negative, compared with 12 percent positive and the remainder neutral. In other words, even the conservative-leaning Fox News featured twice as much bad press as good press."

God bless the United States -- and President Donald Trump!

President Donald Trump is a tough businessman. The leftist mainstream media doesn't like him for two obvious reasons:
    1. First, he doesn't let mainstream leftist media liars malign or steamroll over him.
    2. Second, he instinctively and accurately gives it back to the fake news liars, in full force, which leave them in shock and awe. The mainstream media leftist are completely clueless on how to handle a politically brilliant man who effectively stands up to their barrage of fake news.

The leftist mainstream media has historically been accustomed to politicians who "lie down and take it" when leftist mainstream media begins a barrage of fake news fact twisting. Trump is a wrecking ball against political correctness. Instead, Trump pursues what is right for the nation.

President Donald Trump will be in office for a full eight years, but the mainstream leftist media doesn't know it (yet), just as they were completely clueless that he would be elected as President of the United States.

President Trump is a breath of fresh air in a stale fake news atmosphere.

Fox News is based in New York City after all and its journalists socialize with the larger NYC journalistic community. They all know each other and are subject to the same kind of social pressure, which is very different than they would encounter out in Middle America. You could see that dynamic at work when Trump criticized the news media and Fox clearly didn't like it, opting for solidarity with their "profession" (if you can call it that) over ideology.

I think that some individuals at Fox News never were Trump supporters. Megan Kelley was the poster-girl for that. She was something of a conservative I guess, but was also an ardent feminist. So I think that she supported Hillary because Hillary was a woman and Megan wasn't very subtle about that bias either. Several (not all) of Fox's talking-head pundits were closely connected to the Republican beltway establishment and the abortive 'never-Trump' efforts. (It's been interesting to see them scramble since Trump's election.)

And up at the top, Rupert Murdoch has handed daily control of Fox News to his sons, who are both well to the left of old Rupert. (One of them is a bit of an environmental activist, I believe.)

I don't think that Fox is about to change course and become a clone of CNN. The source of Fox's success is that they are pretty much the only mass-media voice of the half of the country that voted for Trump. They essentially have that audience all to themselves while the rest of the mass opinion media battle over the other half of the population and end up with much smaller audiences. But... Fox's political orientation may be more of a business decision than an expression of their own deep conviction.

If anyone wants to hear the pure unadulterated voice of the populist 'revolution', they should tune into the newly ascendant Breitbart. They have a political line (just as the Huffington post does) but it's a line I sense that everyone at Breitbart believes in and is committed to.

Google more or less admits that it, along with most of the mainstream media, will be trying to influence the outcome of the coming French election. They say that their goal is "helping the French electorate make sense of what and who to trust in their social media feeds, web searches and general online news consumption". Since collectively these media organizations control the electorate's access to political opinion, there's a strong hint of totalitarianism to this, reminiscent of '1984' and its Ministry of Truth.
