But it was "romantic" when Barack took Michelle on Air Force One to New York City for a Broadway show.

Nice attempt at dodging what a raging hypocrite Trump is.

Besides, thus far on an annualized basis Trump's security is many times as expensive as Obama's.

Trump would be a hypocrite if he was going golfing constantly, but he's done more in a month than many Presidents have accomplished in a year.

No he didn't. As simple as that. Obama passed and signed the stimulus bill by this time in his tenure, and this was not even his first major bill. Trump, by contrast, already coved to China and lost his top advisor to scandal. His only real achievement so far is the Supreme Court nomination - and the Senate stole that one for him from Obama. But presumably Mar-o-Largo memberships are selling briskly; to top it off, maybe Trump could bring the Queen there for patrons to take selfie with.

Trump could find the cure for cancer, and you would still try to find fault with it.

Which is exactly why the 2018 mid-term election is going to be another massacre for the Democrats; they continue to double, triple, and quadruple down on identity politics, personal attacks, and generating fake news, which were big reasons why Trump was elected in the first place.

Yet, he didn't; that's why his supporters have to pad his list of accomplishments with meaningless symbolic stuff like "hiring freeze" and "giving the directive to start preparing for the beginning of construction of the wall". And completely ignore the growing list of bloopers, from the failed Muslim ban to Russian ties. How do you feel about the President promoting his resort on the taxpayer's dime? How about the reports he still caries unprotected tech (an Android phone, which is an Internet-connected hackable computer with built-in camera, microphone, and GPS chip)? Numerous alternative facts? Flynn, with his Russian ties known long before the elections? Manafort and Carter Page? Taiwan debacle? Nordstorm?

Also, a supporter of a politician who relies so much on alt-right shouldn't accuse others of "identity politics". Protecting the minorities is not a bad thing, btw.

Good grief. I just spent 8 years listening to your crazy uncle complain about Obama's Presidential protection, trips, travel, golf, etc. Now I have to listen to skinny jeans hipster coffee drinking beard stroking guy complain about the same thing? Sheesh.

Good to know blue tie supporters are just as asinine as red tie supporters.

    Hypocrisy level 10/10.

Thank you, this is exactly it. It's not about principles, on either side. It's about cheering for your team and booing the other team.

Don't forget the "meaningless stuff" like thousands of jobs staying in the US, rather than going to Mexico. I'm sure those people and their families might disagree with the "meaningless" tag.

It was NOT a "Muslim ban". A lie repeated often enough does not become the truth in the days of Google and instant research, sorry.

What, by going there? If the media didn't blast it all over the front page and lead every newscast with it whenever he visits, there would be no "promotion".

Like the "reports" (completely fabricated) that the National Guard was going to be used to round-up illegal aliens? Those kinds of reports?

    Such as??

The incoming National Security Adviser calling the Russian government? Uh, that was his JOB. I'm a lot more concerned that a traitor within the intelligence community leaked this classified national security information to the media.

    Conspiracy theorist, much?

Debacle??? It's early yet, but you've jumped into the lead for the 2017 Hyperbole Award.

Communist China doesn't dictate to the United States of America who we can talk to, sorry.

A department store that sells overpriced products. What about it?

If the shoe is a 100%, spot-on fit.......

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Are you trying a subtle insinuation that I think that protecting minorities is a bad thing?

You're much better than that, Stanislav, don't try to go there. It will just cheapen everything you say from now onward.

Note that I DIDN'T. Also note that people are divided, at the very least, on the effect of something like this on economy, and GOP would crucify any Democrat for "messing with free enterprise" if she tried a stunt like these.

You instantly recognized what I'm talking about, so it's as good a shortcut to refer to this steaming turd of a decree as any. Also, it disproportionately affected Muslims, served as red meat for the same slice of his base he targeted with the original "ban on Muslims" promise (ant it was the only rational goal for the "order"), and even Trump referred to it as "Muslim ban".

Wow. Are you seriously blaming the media for covering the first State Visit by foreign leader to this administration? How did Trump manage to train his supporters so well? And no, having dinner with his guest so the paid public could see him is not normal.

Precisely. Because all the reports I've seen said that there was a DHS report suggesting using the National Guard, and apparently this part is absolutely true (if a bit underwhelming as a piece of news). And it sure looks like Trump still tweets, and still tweets from an Android device.

    Really??

As for the leaks: hey, how else Pence was supposed to learn about this chit-chat? And discussing sanctions at that point was not only NOT his job, but likely illegal. Then again, when you appoint a guy dining with Putin (at RT's gala, no less) and leading a standing ovation after his speech...
(Jill Stein sat at the same table, and this actually makes a lot of sense).

Yeah, because Manafort and Page did not exist, or/and their previous jobs (at least in Page's case, his current job) was not enabling Putin lackeys. Remember that I knew the name "Manafort" and hated his guts long before the campaign was even conceivable.

Except that Trump had to backpedal hard, creating appearance that yes, actually, Communist China does indeed dictate to the United States of America who you can talk to. And for what?

Well, your guy saw it fit to make them a news story. That's what about it. Interestingly, "overpriced" is one adjective describing all Trump products (well, perhaps except straight-on ripoffs like Trump U).

No, I'm trying a subtle insinuation that a lot of times, this is what the Right means when it complains about "identity politics". No one seems to complain about Bannon, who plays white identity politics.

I suspect the cost of presidential trips is far higher than that reported in the media. I've seen three presidents fly into Palm Springs airport on Air Force One; they are accompanied by two C-17, a C-5s, and a 757 aircraft. These aircraft carry helicopters, limos, and other support equipment. Presidential travel cost is a pet peeve of mine.
