Hi. I just like to hear your thoughts about Barack and Michelle Obama. So, how do would remember them? I will always remember them as the sweetest couple in the history of White House. :)

Not that this is a high hurdle, but I suppose they seem a lot nicer than the Clintons or Donald Trump. Ultimately, though, the idea of politicians as celebrities may be even worse than celebrities as politicians.

Folks, the show is over and there is nothing to see here. Keep the line moving. Just move along.

He may not be president anymore, but like them or not, the Obamas aren't going anywhere. That's doubly so given how low his successor's approval ratings are, and how there is no obvious Democratic front runner yet for 2020.

Very nice, classy couple indeed. They both worked hard, went to school and achieved the ultimate American Dream. As an American minority (I am not black), I was very proud to see President Obama break barriers down to become the first black President. As a family, they raised their girls well, and it was a joy to see them grow up in the White House!

But like Steve said, Obama clearly stated he is not going anywhere. He is too young, sharp and vibrant to retire.

No better or worse that the last 3 clowns. Unlike CARTER....Obama will be a poor post-president.

Carter is a tough act to follow. The Bushes have done nothing noteworthy in retirement, and obviously the Clintons cared about nothing other than maintaining power, but Obama is still young and energetic and might actually turn out to be a better ex-president than he was a president.

Either way, it's a bit surprising you don't think that nine days in is a bit early to judge.

Really? If this isn't noteworthy, I don't know what is!

Come on man Bushes have helped millions with their charities. So has Bill help a lot too, but he has also be harassing women still, and living in his presidential library. He makes the girls that work their give him foot rubs. Funny stuff.

Normally historians wait 5 to 10 years before reserving judgement, but what do we know..LOL

Bush 43 has deliberately stayed out of the political arena by not commenting on anything Obama did, from his first day to his last day. I think that's the proper way for former Presidents to conduct themselves; stay out of things unless asked by the sitting POTUS, the way Kennedy consulted Eisenhower about Cuba.

Do you think Obama will have that much class?

I wonder how you know this.
But in truth, I distinctly remember how in Bill's 2012 DNC speech, he praised Bush for AIDS relief and Haiti.

Bush 41 and Bill Clinton became friendly after appearing together for charity, IIRC.

And Bono praised Bush for his AIDS relief in Africa too. I wish the Obama's nothing but success and health as they leave the public eye. Particularly their daughters.

You're probably right. They did appear together to promote earthquake relief in Haiti.
