While the Boston Herald is usually right of center, especially when compared to the Boston Globe, this is still pretty damning.

    Editorial: Hillary Clinton

Damning, but as you say, it's not like this is being published by an organization like the Washington Post.

The Boston Herald is the more conservative of the two major Boston newspapers (the Globe being the other). Still, it represents a strong conservative contingency within a generally Democratic political area. In this way I assume it represents the views of many Americans (whether I agree with them or not).

Clinton's followers are, obviously, fine with being lied to constantly by a career politician who has absolutely nothing to offer them. This is an amazing accomplishment, and it is only the beginning.

Similarly, Trump's followers are obviously fine with being lied to constantly by a career buyer-of-politicians who has absolutely nothing to offer them. He and Clinton are peas in a pod.

I think a lot of Democrats acknowledge that the email scandal is a problem for her campaign. They're not denying that it happened. When are Trump supporters going to acknowledge that he has flip flopped on almost every single issue?

Steve: Well, people are voting for Trump (for whatever their individual reasons are) so it seems he offers them (his voters) something. Now whether you and I agree on that "offering" is irrelevant. He offers somebody, something.

San Antone(io): I'm not sure where Trump supports hang out, not being a member of any Trump forums so I have no idea if "they" are troubled by his flip-flopping. All I've heard about is his racism, sexism, and violence towards the right kinds of people. You'd probably have to ask some of them what they think of all his flip flopping.

Which is worse lying (as Clinton is accused of) or, your ideas about a subject evolving, i.e. President Obama "evolving" views on gay marriage or Trump and his flip-flopping? Depends on the letter after their name?

Come on, man, you have to pick one: Either that's true for Trump and Clinton, or it's true for neither of them.

Pick one what? Clinton and Trump offer something that attracts voters and people...that much is true. I'm not sure what you want me to pick?

It's to be expected that some people will change positions on things over time. It is not usually expected that someone will change positions within the same month, week, or even day multiple times. Trump's constant flip flopping really is just lying. We have two liars who are likely to be the nominees for the major parties. I see no difference, except that one appears to be more intelligent.

Lying on average of every five minutes is definitely not a good thing:

I guess looking at it from your stance, you can say that one might lie, and one is pathological liar.

First you said: Clinton's followers are, obviously, fine with being lied to constantly by a career politician who has absolutely nothing to offer them.

Then you said: Well, people are voting for Trump (for whatever their individual reasons are) so it seems he offers them (his voters) something.

    See the disconnect?

First off that first statement is verbatim what Rich says every time there's a Trump thread. I'm just quoting his stuff, and replacing Trump with Hillary. Both politicians offer something to people that support them (whether we agree with that is irrelevant, someone likes what both candidates are saying). That's my point.

    Pick whichever one you like.
