I find this interesting: https://www.yahoo.com/news/judge-criticized-trump-unseals-documents-trump-university-case-065505089.html "We're in front of a very hostile judge. The judge was appointed by Barack Obama," Trump said, adding he believed Curiel was Mexican." "He has impugned the honesty of the judge in a pending case, and has done so in the context of a political rally that seems calculated to intimidate by inciting anger among his supporters," he said."
Trump's followers are, obviously, fine with being lied to constantly by a billionaire who has absolutely nothing to offer them. This is an amazing accomplishment, and it is only the beginning.
Trump may be having a tantrum that would make any toddler proud but let's face it, Trump University is no bigger scam than many others we've seen in this country. Trump University Is Example of Big Business, Political Culture of Fraud and Scams
Donald Trump has been named--either plaintiff or defendant--in more than 3,500 lawsuits. This is a record--by far--for a Presidential candidate. (Clinton has been named in hundreds, almost all of which were filed by inmates suing anyone famous in government while she was a Senator and later as Secretary of State.)
"Bernie Sanders gets roasted in some quarters for saying this, but it's true—for going on 40 years now, the primary business model for the American corporate class has been fraud." Once again, I am glad Bernie has had a chance to tell his story. He has told the same story for 40 years now, and the central theme to his story has not changed. He has remained resolute in his convictions. When you speak the truth, you have nothing to fear. It's that simple.
I think the relevant metric is how many lawsuits has he (or she) settled or lost. But he does seem like the sort of guy who attracts litigation.
Come to think of it: Trump has long been involved in the real estate guru racket, TU being just the most high-profile effort. I find it hard to believe a bona fide billionaire would be involved in such sordid fleecing efforts. What gives? Is he really as rich as he says, at least by order of magnitude?
