John McCain on Donald Trump's POW statement - Business Insider "What he said about me, John McCain, that's fine. I don't require any repair of that," McCain said. "But when he said, 'I don't like people who were captured,' then there's a body of American heroes, and I'd like to see him retract that statement. Not about me, but about the others." Trump apologize? Never.
McCain supports Trump. I hope Trump apologizes for those remarks. Trump also said the rich will pay more in taxes, whew this dude loves to eye poke people. I imagine him wanting the rich to pay more taxes makes quite a few new friends, right?
Most of what's claimed during a political campaign is bull, so it really doesn't matter. Whether Trump wins or Garfield The Cat wins, everything will continue the way it has been. The rich--and more specifically the filthy rich--will continue to live well, and the gap between them and the poor will continue to widen. But every 4 years people seem to forget that and go into a frenzy as if they don't know how the story they've seen a thousand times is going to end. Ecclesiastes 1:9
You summed it up quite nicely. This election has been interesting because it has made the issues you brought up front and center. Though he does not have a chance, I am glad that Bernie has brought about his message of income inequality to the table. If it is ok for some politicians to discuss possible cuts and alterations to programs like social security, they should also discuss cuts to things like corporate welfare. Will anything change under the new President? I don't know. But at least the discussion has been started. If I recall correctly, spiritual visionaries like Jesus Christ spoke of things like income inequality.
