I don't understand why the challenge regarding Cruz. Romney's dad ran for VP and conventional wisdom at the time was that he met the Constitutional requirement. I think Cruz does for the same reason. (It's also why the birther nonsense regarding Obama was stupid. No one disputed that his mother was American, which should have been enough even if he WAS born in Kenya instead of Hawaii.)

We have bigger issues in this election than Cruz's eligibility.

"We?" I have no issues at all.

Yeah, I got to admit this election has been the most exciting of all for me. I pretty much thought the "Canadian Cruz" thing was dead. I got to admit, it has been pretty boring lately with Trump laying low.

    That you don't doesn't mean we don't.

I suppose I'm just unsure about who you are speaking for.

This is the best season of America ever! I don't know how the writers will top it next year.

Oh Steve! A little bit of humoristic trumpery is ok once in a while. Laughter is good for the soul.

Well, the one thing I would note about this election is that both Hillary and Trump are 69 years old.

    They should retire.

    Sadly, I think you're serious.

Why? Our society has moved completely away from the notion of mandatory retirement at some arbitrary age, so there must be some reason you have to think both of them should "retire."

    Why?

If I'm still working, or especially seeking public office, at age 69, please hold an intervention for me.

I can't stand Hillary Clinton, and think that her as President would be a disaster, but her age certainly isn't one of the reasons.

Okay, since no one else has said the obvious . . .

I guess it would be amusing to consider Trump and Hillary at 69. If you're into that sort of thing...

I thought he was going to point out that Trump and Clinton (like all the candidates) have really bad hair.

Interesting fact. Trump has to comb his hair over due to the fact that he had an old school (now considered barbaric) scalp flap surgery (they no longer do those). They used to cut in to the scalp and sort of pull the hair from the back to the front. As a result, he has scarring on the top and sides of his head. That is why he has to grow it out so long, he has to comb it over the front, as well as slick down the sides of his red hair. Yeah, he has hair, but boy at what a cost

Who would purposely grow their hair out like this?

I have already lived through one septuagenarian presidency in my adult life.

Besides that, I was hoping that the Dems would nominate Chelsea and the Repubs would nominate George Bush III. Both of whom are 35.

So far, we have had three Baby Boom presidents, all of whom have been two termers. So, we have had 24 years of Baby Boomer presidents. And the Baby Boom was only 18 years (1946-1964).
