Freedom of speech/expression has always been an important issue for me. Although I am VERY open minded when it comes to such things as music, different belief systems, cultures, etc., I sometimes have had the tendency to be a bit one sided regarding politics. As I get older, I am learning to read and consider different sources of information from both liberal and conservative sources in an effort to try and be more objective. Although California is thought to be a mainly blue state, I live in highly conservative county. As such, I have many Republican friends. As younger men, we sometimes would let things devolve in yelling matches due to differing views on politics. Now that we are older and hopefully a little wiser, we have learned to discuss politics in a more civilized manner, and we now make an effort to see things from the others point of view.

I have always felt at home here, and that I among friends. I have very outspoken regarding certain presidential candidates. Having said that, each man has a right to believe what they believe. I hope that certain comments I make are not meant to be personal attacks against any particular person. I mean no disrespect.

Well that's fine but I just learned that those students at Emory University are offended and afraid so obviously you'll need to apologize so they can again feel safe.:sad6:
