It's all over for Cruz

The internet news sources have the names of the women, etc. I know that you have to consider the source of the info but I'm predicting this is a bombshell that will end his presidential ambitions.

Oh boy. These types of things have a way of escalating. He may bow out, or he will dig in to the past of his opponent in search of some either equally shocking, or more shocking.

As my Cuban (married to my aunt) uncle used to say: Ay cono! (damn!) (sorry, I forgot how to make that little squiggly line over the n).

 

I'll wait. Some of these shady tabloids, surprisingly, break major stories that are real; but, they also make up a lot of things. Didn't the National Enquirer break the John Edwards story? Also, US Weekly broke the Duggar story. Cruz says the story was planted by Trump's campaign. One of the women the National Enquirer alleges Cruz slept with has been identified as an employee of Trump's campaign.

 

That's true. The National Enquirer has written about some pretty far out things like alien abuction, etc.

All joking aside it appears this is a legit story. NI would never run this story if it was false, imagine the lawsuit. Also they have been right more than a few times...

I actually don't care who sleeps with who (whom?). The part I don't like is that these guys campaign on "family values" platforms and act so righteous about their own morals and ethics, passing judgement on others, only to discover that they're lying hypocrites. And I'm not just talking about Republicans (although I think they're the worst) that includes Clinton and other Dems too.

Even if this story is true, and Cruz is the nominee, it will be buried forever during the general election, because that opens the door to the behavior of Hillary Clinton's husband. The mainstream media will NEVER allow that to happen.

 

The media had no problem with covering John Edwards when Hillary Clinton ran in 2008. Bill Clinton's sex scandals were covered to death when they happened, and people haven't forgotten. I don't see the point in covering them again. Hillary Clinton is running for president, not Bill.

 

Right. The "mainstream media" (otherwise known as the "media") didn't have a thing to say about Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. They just covered it up conveniently. It's amazing we know about it at all.

 

So the pendulum seems to have swung to the other side and it now appears that there's nothing to the Cruz story, at least in it's substance. There continues to be some question as to Trumps role in the story coming out but that doesn't have a lot of legs either. False alarm.
