i think bernie sanders has a pretty good idea. You may remember that the California HIGHER WEDUCATION system was free ... at least to its in-staters ... not sure if it was ever free to out of styaters. ... but i understand the the Cali institutions of higher education are still a good deal. Cal State D'Hills was a good deal when I was there ... and maybe they're still a GOOD deal today.

I've thoughtp about opening up a tuition-free university myself, though i've heard that someone has beaten me to the puncxh with Something Called new world university. I don't know whether I should still open my own university or join New World YUniversity. If I did open the Ted Heiks cHARITABLE University for thge Third World or whatever I might call mu universitY, i would only do it if I could make sure that neither of the schools wopuld put the other out of business.

mY busuiness model would be this: First, all faculty would have endowed chairs. I would figure out how many millions of dollars you wouldd need for each kind of professorship. Further, there would be automatic tenure so professors wouldn'tb have to worry about getting riffed. Then, I would be willing to use either adjunct instructors, provided that they had some economic means to be able to feed himself and his family and not starve to death. Perhaps I or the university could find ways to help feed the starving adjuncts and the starving students, like setting up food banks and/or soup lines. Then, there would be endowed tuition accounts for each student. Each student could spend his/her money any way he/she wishes, provided that they actually pay tuition (and there could be private school loans on easy terms, offered either by me personally ... if iu were a wealthy man, like Tevye of Anetevka ... or by the university ... or by private charities ... or even by private corporations).

By the way, I am broke ... so i probably can';t be the one to fund it. But if some wealthy entrepreneur can fund this deal, I'm all ears. I am not sure if I'm going to be I the one to actually do the hands on part of the management iof this school. Maybe i'll just be a paid idea man as i have been trained to write business plans and marketing plans and I can either do for my own businesses or i canm be paiud (or could volunteer to do so for oyther people's non-profits) to write business and marketing plans for other people'sv business ideas. And even though I might need to get paid for writing other people's I probably wouldn't ask too much because I am on S.S. Disability and being on disability automatically qualifies me for MediCare and MedicAid. Should I make more than $800 a month from actually working, I would lose my $700/mo. in SSD. bUT, YOU SAY, if you make $800 from working and lose $700 in govt. mony mony, wouldn't you br $100 ahead, Ted? Not exactly! You see, if I did exceed my $800/mo., i would lose MediCare/MedicAid and then I would have to figure on how to pay $2000 a month in prescription bills alone on thew basis of a $800/mo. job, unless i could find an university that pays its adjuncts health insurance. Yeah, right! Anyways ...

Yes! Tax the rich! Why didn't anybody come up wuth thaT Idea before? I'm glad that there are stuill a few peiople left alive who libed through thartr discredited idea called Reaganomics, now correctly known as voodoo econopmics. I was 18 in 1980s. Now, in 2015, I am a twice divorced impotent little boy virgin at the ripe young agev of 53 and I am now in stage 3 kidney failure whose kidney doc predicted stage 5 (dialysis) in 5b yrs at the initial consultation. My 5 yr pt is 2017. My shrink asked me to ask my nephrologist whethedr I am a good candidate for kidney surgery. Well, i'll ask him, if i can remember.

I do keep little notebooks, many of them, and people think I'm crazy for carrying them,. People think nothing of denmanding to know what is in my little notebooks, and other people think nothing of telling me thaty they know what is in my notebooks. Some persons in Ottawa Couinty Ohio have no clue.

Keep us posted. Hopefully you can have the surgery and not have to deal with dialysis.

I don't know what Sanders' exact quarrel is with Wall Street but there is a legitimate debate about tax on so-called carried interests and a larger debate on the tax treatment of investment income in general. Trouble is, the moment you try to explain these things to most folks, their eyes glaze over.

I believe there is a remote chance of him becoming president. However he would never get most of his ideas approved by congress.

My English is not so good.

I do not understand how is "free" and "Let's Tax" go together. If US government collects monies from individuals (i.e. taxes) then gives a fraction of it to others, how is that "free"?

Is there an other meaning of free besides libre or gratis in English?

Yes, there's a third meaning found on the political left that means, "We paid for this by stealing from other people, but we didn't have to look them in the eye, so it doesn't count."
