Well, blow me down. Renowned slayer of diploma mills is now on the campaign trail George Gollin for Congress

I read of his work years before stumbling into degreeinfo and was surprised to actually encounter and briefly interact with him on another DL-centric forum some time later. Does he have a shot at winning an election? Hmm. The man has some persistent enemies who will stop at nothing to see his demise... so... there's that.

If George ever gets elected then those idiots over at DLT should start sweating.

The district has gone Republican for over a century, but the most recent race was a squeaker, with the Republican winning by only a little, and that with a left-leaning independent also in the race. Of course, if I can figure that out quickly, so can anyone else. I'll be pretty surprised if it's not a crowded primary.

Not really - the only thing they should be scared of is an IQ test!

She was Miss America in 2003, so that's not too surprising. She's not a Democrat like Gollin, though -- she's seeking to unseat the current office holder in the Republican primary.

Anyway, I looked at Gollin's site and I'm not surprised to find that I disagree with him on most issues.

She has everyone beaten on looks! And she's smart - a Harvard J.D. partially paid-for with her Miss America winnings.

The numbers say that despite those (and any other) positive factors, she's not going to win this election. If she loses, I just hope she won't be too disappointed. In my long and varied experience  I've found that most really beautiful women have seldom heard the word "no."
