Candidate Quiz - ISideWith.com

I saw this on a few Facebook friends' profiles. I thought I'd share it here. It's a quiz that'll match you up with a Presidential candidate based on your responses to policy statements. I thought it matched me pretty well.

I side with Fred Karger 83% and with Obama 77%.

I have heard it said that although many people in the country self identify as conservatives, if you ask them questions about the issues the country leans pretty progressive.

So where did a man who was a self identified Republican for years and voted for Bob Dole and George Bush (twice) land on this survey?

77% for Jill Stein.
75% for Kent Mesplay.
74% for Barack Obama.
56% for Ron Paul.
36% for Mitt Romney.

I had no idea who the first two people where so I had to look them up. It turns out they Jill Stein is the candidate for the Green Party, and Kent Mesplay is another candidate for the Green Party.

I really didn't see that one coming.

In truth, looking at their stances on certain issues, I could not vote for either of the green party candidates. I wish they had a "this is a deal breaker" option on those questions, meaning that if the candidate supports or opposes this position you absolutely will not vote for them. The things that I disagree with Obama and even Romney on are big, but they are not "deal breakers".

 

Interestingly enough, I am 50% in favor of Republican Mitt Romney.

 

I also don't know who this Fred Karger guy is.

 

According to the quiz, I was an 83% match with Gary Johnson, the candidate for the Libertarian Party.

I figured I should share since everyone else was.
