then things could get a bit more interesting. Mitt Romney: Campaign says gay teen bullying at prep school report 'exaggerated' | News | National Post
I also have no memory of participating in bullying incidents at school, because........I didn't do it. Pure desperation from the Obama camp....even if it is true, what relevance does it have? If I had a dollar for every stupid thing I did in my childhood & teenage years, I'd be long-retired to a Caribbean island. I'm much more concerned about Obama destroying the economy than whatever Mitt Romney may have or have not done as a teenager.
I have no doubt that Mitt is a man of good character. Even if this story turns out to be true I don't think it is particularly relevant. We've all made mistakes and probably have our regrets and I believe that (some) people change as they get older but this will resonate with a segment of the population . . . any gay person, any person who has been bullied, any person whose kid has been bullied. It may not be a deciding factor for people but there's no question in my mind that it will be one of the factors on the scale for some voters.
OK, here's an update (for what it's worth) Sister of Alleged Romney Target Has ‘No Knowledge’ of Any Bullying Incident - ABC News
Many kids who are bullied at school never talk about it to their family. I was bullied a couple of times in my first year of high school (age 11) but I figured out that if I worked in the school library during breaks and lunch I would be safe.
I'm just trying to stay neutral. It seems that some version of this story is true but who will speak and who will not? How much money will go into whose pocket? Who gets a municiple job and who doesn't? These are the legos of american politics (or politics anywhere, for that matter)
Typical tactic from the left.....create an incident that can't possibly be verified (the "victim" is dead), where even the sister of the victim doesn't remember it, and there is one "witness" (I would love to know his political donation list) who claims to have witnessed it. This isn't Romney's first foray into the political arena.....he ran for the US Senate in 1994 (against Ted Kennedy), for Massachusetts Governor in 2003, and for President in 2008. I find it extremely interesting that this "issue" wasn't raised before, especially considering that the "victim" was alive during his Senate run. If this is all that the Obama camp can come up with against Romney, this election is going to be a joke.
