Christie needs to cool it before he gives himself a heart attack!

I'll be the one to say it.....the American public is not going to elect someone that fat to be President, and it would seriously hinder him if he were the Vice-Presidential nominee.

The video is heavily edited, so you can't see what the student was saying. Most likely to try to make Christie look worse than he really did.

The student it pretty lucky though. If he spoke at UF, he would have gotten tazed!

    Or that acerbic.

His demeanor obviously has not hindered his political career in New Jersey, but other areas of the country might not react so favorably to him.

I'm in the South, and I know that the South has a strong tradition of what one of my co-workers calls "Nasty Nice." We might fight just as much as Northerners do, but we often hide it under a veneer of gentility. Overt harshness is often seen as off-putting.

I'm from the South and Chris Christie is one of the few things from the state of NJ I find tolerable.

There are some things that I like about Christie. It's too bad that he'll be dead in ten years.

You're far from the average Southerner. Just look at your signature line! :)

My level of education or where I received my schooling doesn't make me any less Southern. I see what you're getting at in regards to Christie though, I doubt my grandparents would care for him. He can be a bit abrasive.

It doesn't make you less Southern, but my point was that it does mean you aren't necessarily representative of the average Southerner. Your credentials alone distance you from the "mean" (so to speak), and the prestige further distances you. I'm sure we could go on and on.

By Jersey standards, he's too nice!
