I am a commoner, though I am sure you would like to label me an "elite". No problem.

Why would I refer to you as an elite? You are a dude just like me, a distance learner with a family, a government job, who enjoys the martial arts.

I brought up Prop 8 because; 1. You're from CA. 2. That is the will of the people (your illustration not mine), but their will is being fought in the courts in a backdoor way to circumvent the will of the common person. 3. I can guarantee without even asking you that you are OK with gay marriage (me too). And I knew that you would be the first to step up and decry THE CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUES OF OUR TIMES [/useless hyperbole] when Californian's voted to not allow gay marriage. I accept what the people say with their votes.

So your will of the people thing is fake. You either are for the will of the people (elections, things getting passed that you do not like) or you are not. So to use it as example where you liked it (recall of a governor in a state you do not reside in) but decry in other things (when Bush was elected Pres for the second time and the CA disallowing gay marriage) and to not be supportive all the time is disingenuous.

Ah, ok? I already explained. The fact that I mentioned one and not the other makes no sense. So I am to be supportive of all issues otherwise I am being disengenous? The prop 8 thing. I didn't like what happened, but one side won, and one side lost. It is now up to the losing side to fight back. Just like the working people in Walker's State are doing. That is the will of the people in action. Why do I bring up an issue in another state? Because those like me check issuess that affect unions members nationwide, daily. This is not just some passing news story to us.

And another thiing kind Sir!!!! I think Sarah Palin is sexy! So there, I said it here and now. It's on the record.

    Good day!

Thanks for the clarification, makes more sense now.

I support the will of the people as well, even if my will was not the same. For instance, I did not vote for Obama. I do not agree with much of what he is doing or even what he believes ideologically. But, he is my president and because I love my country, I support him. I want him to succeed at bringing our country up, lowering unemployment, etc. I want him to be happy and healthy and to raise happy and healthy daughters.

Palin is a non-issue for me. She seems like a nice lady who loves her family and is passionate about some things. The only thing I noticed about Palin (if the liberal media and press were not so apopletic at the mention of her name I would even think less of her) was the disgusting way she was treated by people. And, lets be fair that treatment was from people on your side of isle. Calling her the "C" word (not Cancer), sluttly flight attendant, trailer park barbie and that comedian who said Palin should be gang-raped, etc. Kind of funny coming from the side of tolerance and acceptance. But again, she is a non-issue to me.

That's also not capitalism. That's corporatism. If there were really capitalism, there'd be no political power for these companies' executives to buy, and they wouldn't enjoy a state entitlement to limited liability for their decisions.

Personally, I think she's a self-serving shark. But I agree she was treated unfairly and horribly.
