There are horrible things happening to people in this and other countries ever day. The question is what role the federal government has in many of these things. Even us conservatives often want the government to help out everyone in all situations, but we think about the consequences of that help and whether or not that help is constitutional. At the end of the day, the feds cannot and should not help everyone all the time.
