I saw some b's in there as well. HP is as bad as FOX. It's not really news...I doubt anyone thought he was a joke, the guy did earn a degree. How did his ed records get leaked?
b4cz28, I agree with you. Besides the grades were a bit deflated in those days,or at least that is my understanding. It he could of been less motivated too. Hey the guy graduated...what is the big deal?
I think it's a non-issue. He's not trying to portray himself as some kind of genius. TAMU is a respected institution, and I highly doubt that a "C" in those days is equal to a "C" today, as you mentioned. If he were enrolled today, I imagine many of those Bs would be As, and many of those Cs would be Bs. Besides, you can't measure someone by their undergraduate GPA from 40 years ago. He got a C in public speaking at TAMU. Does anyone think he can't give a speech?
You know, it's not the worst thing ever. If you think THAT's bad, I know of a certain Maniac who doesn't even have a bachelor's degree. What would the public say of him if they ever found out?! :saeek:
They pulled this crap with Bush during the '04 election, trying to make his grades at Yale an issue (a lot of C's). The best part was that even with his low marks, his GPA was still higher than Kerry's but the media never mentioned that. Undergrad demonstrates very little. Perry is clearly an intelligent man whether you agree with his policies or not. Anyone who tries to make this an issue is a moron.
You forgot to add "note to self." The hosts on FoxNews are like cavemen. Conservative- GOOOOD! Liberal- BAAAAAD! Most of them probably couldn't even define "liberal" without using the word "enemy." That's FAIR and BALANCED for ya, eh?
This is why we liberals get a bad rap with everyone. You can't admit that this is as bad a something Fox News would run? This is an attack story. As a fellow liberal the fact that you are so full of it you cannot even make rational viewpoints scares me. Hipso you my friend have drank all of the Kool-Aid, too bad it had a bunch of shrooms in it. I know your just joking MC but I hope there a few people left that can use common sense to rebuild or start a real liberal party. Not just one that thinks it’s perfectly ok to attack the other side and never ever compromise with their opponents. That’s not what it’s about, you do not have to act smarter than the other guy to win, you just have to believe in the principles that you know are right. The rest of this stuff is just snobbery, just like this article.
