This is indeed a historic moment for all African Americans and for the country as a whole.

Signs will no longer be stolen until 2012. So Abner may now take ease until the next election. :D

Yes eight more yearrs of piling on the National Debt and more big government as a Libertarian I'm sooooo looking forward to his presidency. Obama is already poised to piss away over a trillion dollars and he just started. Sad.

On the plus side Bush the worst president ever is now out of office that is a good thing.

HA! :) I went to an inaugural breakfast this morning at one of the theaters at the UCI campus. I was really cool watching it on a movie theater sized screen. Very fun indeed.

I do have the remaining Obama signs left locked up in my garage, this way I am ready for next time. Plus the local chapter of young Republicans eye ball them every time they drive by my house and the garage door is open. :) Oh well.

    God Bless America!

    Abner :)

I'm curious to see who the Democrats and liberals will blame now that they control both houses of congress and the presidency. Dems/libs you own all the mistakes from here on out now, no more Bush to bash.

On another related note: What in the world will "The Daily Show" do now that Bush is no longer in office? I mean I'm quite certain they won't be bashing Obama. Oh well, Jon Stewart had his 15 seconds of fame, no he can go stick his head in a hole for the next 4 years.

From this day on, Obama and the democrats will be at the forefront of our government, economy, and status as a global leadership. Obama will be interviewed once more in four years by the people of the United States. He may have his contract renewed or fired by the voters. Regardless, it is refreshing to have a New President take office and give the country an opportunity to start anew.

Making abortion easier? Legalizing every form of homosexuality? That's not the kind of change me and my family want. Here's what I think.

    Obama's victory?
A victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist preacher
Jeremiah Wright, the mainstream media who abandoned any sense of
objectivity long ago, Europeans who despise America largely because
they depend on her, comics who claim to be dangerous and fearless but
would not dare attack genuinely powerful special interest groups. A
victory for Obama-worshippers everywhere. A victory for the cult of the
cult. A man who has done little with his life but has written about his
achievements as if he had found the cure for cancer in between winning
a marathon and building a nuclear reactor with his teeth. Victory for
style over substance, hyperbole over history, rabble-raising over
    reality.

A victory for Hollywood, the most dysfunctional community in the world.
Victory for Streisand, Spielberg, Soros and Sarandon. Victory for those
who prefer welfare to will and interference to independence. For those
who settle for group think and herd mentality rather than those who
fight for individual initiative and the right to be out of step.....

What I don't get is....why? Obama is not black. Nor is he white. He is mulatto.

Agreed, but little is made of this SIGNIFICANT distinction. BTW, I would gladly vote for and support a conservative black candidate who shares my Christian values. There are some out there but they haven't risen to the level that Liberal Obama did primarily for lack of campaign funding. The Dems are better organized with fundraising than the GOP.

Again, the "hope and change," I just don't see it. The guy plans to repeal all of the laws Bush put on the books to deter terrorists and extremists. He wants to shut down GITMO and release all these suspected terrorists. How will this make our country safer? Ask yourself who benefits from these actions? What hope can be found in this?

Ask yourself this question. If all a man does is reverse the policies of the former president -- as in this case. How is that equivocate to "change and hope?" At least President Clinton was honest about his intentions and his political leanings. His policy wasn't simply to "undue" conservative legislation and somehow repackage it as "change and hope." Wake up America! Don't be fooled by the Hollywood images on TV! He's only a man.

Actually, it is a historic moment for the country as a whole without regard to a specific race, ethnicity, creed, religion, or background. The fact a non-caucasian won the presidential election and is now in office proves Martin Luther King's dream that a person not be judged on the colour of their skin but by the content of their character. With the global crisis we all face today the world needs a miracle or at least hope for a better tomorrow.

Yes I am aware of that. I am also mulatto. However, Obama is also an African America and I am recognizing his black heritage.

So if McCain happened to have black skin and Obama had been white the election would have turned out the same? C'mon, you don't really believe that. McCain was judged by his skin color. How many blacks voted for McCain? Why didn't they? Was this not a racist act? Racism does go both ways. It's not a one-way street folks. I have dozens of black friends, none of whom voted for McCain. However of my white friends the vote was split, some voted McCain, others Obama...about 50/50. If race was not an issue how do you account for this?

    Wow!!!!!
I point out a glaring inconsistency in your posts and you call me disrespectful. You guys are asleep at wheel.

Look at it this way if 90 percent of whites in America voted for McCain it would be front page news!!! "Racism is back!" Blacks voted for Obama in this fashion and I bring it to your attention and instead of being "open minded" and making an intellectual assessment of this you lift your smug, arrogant nose and dare call me disrespectful. Ah, liberals. You can't defend your position so you resort to insults. What's new. I dare you to make an intelligent assessment of this inconsistency in your beliefs.

Really? Have you lived in America during the past 8 years and watched how the media and Hollywood have treated President Bush? You liberals are such hypocrites. Now your guy gets criticized and you can't stand it. Get used to it! I had to hear it for 8 years. You liberals aren't going to get a free pass.

Do yourself a favor and google President Bush's inauguration see how he was treated that day. There's a big difference in press coverage. Open your eyes. I dare you to be open minded, turn off CNN and MSNBC for a minute and get an original and coherent thought together. Not everyone's happy and joyous about what's going on in our country. Not all of us support gay marriage, late-term abortion and a soft stance on terrorists.

No. I am an American citizen who was born in the United States of America. I vote for Mccain, contribute to the republican party, and have conservative republican family members who are in the upper echelon of government. Do you want to continue?

Not true. He didn't win because he was a better candidate - he won (in part) because of his skin color. He was judged by the color of his skin. He got a free pass from the media partly because of the color of his skin. No one can dare criticize him or his buddies for fear of being called "racist." This is ALL about the color of skin.
