If it weren't for that leap year, it would only be 650!

I think the early announcements are going to make this a loooong election cycle.

Exciting? I'm still tired from last time. This will be tedious.

    I enjoy the primaries..

I mean the national election is pretty predicatable..your weak on defense..you will strand the poor...blah blah blah..

I cant wait to watch the Hillary, Obama, Richardson action. I really have felt there are different rules in the politically correct world we live in. This throws that out. Should be cool...but since we are all being nice let me throw out a theory...i would love some opposing feedback.. Not a prediction, but a "what if" possibility...Loved those comics..anyway...

    Ok here goes...

This is the first time that there has been an african-american candidate that was legitimate. Jackson and Sharpton were jokes, and Mosley-Brown had too many barriers and was too liberal. Obama is real. Now, I dont believe he will get the nod, but I could be wrong. Hillary is mean, and he is thin skinned, anyway back on topic. Ok, so Hil gets the nod. Does black america feel slighted if she plays ugly? Does the DNC care? What are they going to vote for the Bush heir? I have watch the way democrates talk to african americans and I think its somewhat belittleing, but very very complicant. So, when a group of people that have appeared to have gotten there way on many issues, at least within the democrate party, doesnt get it what happens? Consider this...Most black congressman are from district that are very urban, and are likely to stay with the guy, and not a party. In these areas, like baltimore where im from, its like 90% democrat. Could a slighted Obama, along with the congressional black congress form their own party seperate from the democrats? And if so consider the consiquences of splitting that vote. Not to mention their ability to play both side. A built in legitimate third party spawned with congressional and senate seats built in, and a guy who is a strong presidential candidate, if not now then next time around.

I just simply dont think the one side is "less racist" than another, and dont really believe they will nominate Obama for a multitute of reason, one big one being racial. Sorry, but my life experience have shown me that some of the biggest bigots I have ever met are screaming liberals. Conservative that the sheet people with the pointed hats, but both sides have elitist! I would expect everyone to cross the line, so why would that one be different this time? I cant stand the crap because Im so d@mn sick of hearing about it. Stop doing it so i dont have to hear people whine and cry about it!! Its wrong get over it..gesh.."Cant we all just get along":D

    Just a few thoughts...

Back to the election...Id love to see a debate driven election, but we dont live in "Magic Fairy Land". Both side will play nasty, distort, and do anything to win. When the smoke clears, we wont really be that worse off or that better off than the day before...

    Ok..sorry..rant over..

Hillary for President and Obama for Vice President. Now that's a combination, whether you like it or not.

Not sure either would take the backseat to the other. But you may be right, we will have to see. Will be fun...I hear Obama is very thin skinned. I also have already heard the large Africain American Rallying cry. If Im right who is buying me a steak dinner??

If you want diplomacy in a presidents, Richardson is the man for that. Dont like his politics alot of the time, but he has been successful in dealing with the nuts of the world like Emperor Shortie in NK...

I don't see Clinton and Obama on the same ticket either, especially after the mud they'll throw at each other as they jockey for position.

What do you think -- I suspect Richardson is running for Vice-President.

    Did anyone hear Biden...giggle..

Ok...so does that mean that Obama is the exception because he is a clean black men? And does that infer that most black men are dirty? Reminds me of the 7/11 comments a year or two ago..

He is an elitist pig..I lived in Delaware a long time and met the man. A complete and total slimey politician. His son just got elect AG in Delaware last election....the cycle continues....

hehehehe....Its soo funny. And now to see John Edwards house over near Raliegh....hehe..Now which America is that in???? He put in a basketball court (300K!!!!). Which america again? Highest valued property in the county. I want to live in his america. Is that the america of the dems?

Dont worry, when Rudy Gulilanni or Romney try to carry water on moral issues they will drown in their own hipocracy too, but lets just enjoy the dems for now...

Evil men..lol...I never though he was evil..horney maybe...

When Biden ran for president the last time ('88?), his campaign literature listed a degree that he didn't actually have. "Staff error," he said. Suuuuure.

Just to be somewhat impartial: the only other major serious candidate (that I know of) who claimed a degree he didn't have was Pat Robertson.

More often, as I've written in Bears Guide, candidates with genuine advanced degrees rarely mention them. I suspect most voters didn't know that George McGovern, Newt Gingrich, and Phil Gramm have real RA doctorates. Same with Woodrow Wilson. Herb Caen suggested this is because many voters don't want a president they think is smarter than they are.

Woodrow Wilson PhD, History/Political Science, Johns Hopkins University, 1886

Newt Gingrich, PhD, History, Tulane University?

    And the others?

The funny thing about Biden is this...if your are studying for the DSST Public Speaking, one of the recommended text is the art of public speaking. The author cites Biden as the example for plagerism. He also notes that it was on three seperate occations.

I just love to watch a democrat held to the fire on race the way a republician is. This race is going to be fun to watch, especially the primary. I mean can you imagine if Trent Lott played a confederate general in a bit part for a movie? But Byrd got away with it, and then used the N word about 10 times on national tv. Complete double standard. Hopefully this election will expose that and leave them realling when off script...

The race to the presidency is going to be a lot of BS, innuendo and promises that aren't going to be kept. But the winner will be the Bullsh**** of them all.

And despite our many differences we find ourselves in total agreement again. There is hope for the world!!!

The long term effect of hollow leadership will not do our country well....I wish we could find some real leaders...sad isnt it...
