    What a crock

The "logic" behind these theories has been disproved time and time again.

Conspiracy theorists need to devote their time towards something productive. Move on to the "we have captured Bin Laden" myth.

" the building was not able to withstand the intense heat of the jet fuel fire. While it was impossible for the fuel-rich, diffuse-flame fire to burn at a temperature high enough to melt the steel, its quick ignition and intense heat caused the steel to lose at least half its strength and to deform, causing buckling or crippling. This weakening and deformation caused a few floors to fall, while the weight of the stories above them crushed the floors below, initiating a domino collapse. "

Below is a well balanced journal article discussing the world trade center
    collapse.

I tend to believe that theses theories are going to far, but as some say there is no smoke without a fire, I do think that ina smaller scale there is
    something here.

No I would never suggest that our President would allow knowingly such an attack on USA, but I do think that our government knew something and maybe was deceived.

Just uneducated opinion that may be completely wrong.

The signs were some what ignored by previuos and existing governments.

I think the just simply underestimated a group of back woods (or desert in this case) religious nuts. We are pretty quick to just simply dismiss crazy people so it doesnt affect our world view or the status quo. This is one of my primary worries about people who are against the war on terror as a whole, not Iraq. They are dismissing these guys based on the idea that "What are they gonna do to us?" Well they were pretty successful once.

Kinda smells like racism. These arabs are incapable of doing this intellectually? Wrong. Reminds me of the shortest presidential campaign in history that we just witnessed. Closet Racism or elitism, which both sides have by the buckets...

Our friend Peter Dale Scott, longtime senior Canadian diplomat, then professor at Berkeley, has done two remarkable books in a "Deep Politics" series, each based on five or more years of full-time research. The first exposed the CIA's role in the drug trade in southeast Asia; the second (Deep Politics and the Death of JFK) was, I believe, the only JFK book published by a major university press, and got a page-one NY Times review. ("...staggeringly well-researched and intelligent overview, not only of the JFK assassination but also of the rise of forces undermining American democracy, of which the assassination, Scott says, is symptomatic.")

I mention this, because Peter has spent the last five years on the 9/11 matter, and his next Deep Politics book, on that topic, will be published by the University of California Press next fall. Here's one chapter, on the long involvement of Al-Qaeda and US oil companies. His writing is tough going -- 70+ detailed footnotes in three pages -- but awfully scary just the same.
