Lieberman/Bush. Same person, different party. There was a reason why Lieberman will never win - everyone knows he is merely a Republican with a whiny voice and no agenda of his own

Rejected? Are you living in La La Land?

Lieberman has no opposition in the upcoming Connecticut Democratic primary for U.S. Senator. He was reelected in 1994 and 2000.

As a matter of fact, in 2000 he made history by winning the biggest landslide victory ever in a Connecticut Senate race with a margin of more than 350,000 votes, or 67 percent of the vote.

Doesn't look like a reject to me!

P.S. How are things going, my friend? :)

He had my vote last time, and he's got it again this time. If you don't live here, you don't get to say boo about Joe Lieberman and the Senate seat he occupies.

Of course, if Lieberman does take the SecDef position it almost certainly means he'll be retiring from political life al-la Bill Cohen.

And won the popular vote of the Vice Presidency. I think He holds the record for most votes ever recieved by a politician. If Gore and Lieberman had taken Florida, I think that would have been a record too, for someone to win 2 political positions on the same day. Has that ever been done before?

Yes, but I cannot remember who. Seems it was LBJ but am not sure. Will do some research.

Never win?? The only time Lieberman lost was the 2000 Presidential election, and that had a lot more to do with the stiff he ran with, than him.

I was speaking of the Presidency. Lieberman has zero chance of ever winning. No one wants a whiny little man in office.

The fact is that Democratic Senator Lieberman is a moderate. He is not on either extreme of the political spectrum. Whether you agree with certain conclusions of his or not does not mean that he is wrong and you are right or vice-versa. It should only be construed as the opinion of a man in public office who is always true to himself. Someday he will make a great President.

Yes, heaven forbid that the Democrats nominate a candidate who can win a presidential election. That would make too much sense.

Senator Lieberman is a damn fine public servant.

I am sure he is a gentleman and a scholar. But, mark my words, he is unelectable. He shows no command presence - if he was a military commander he would probably be laughed at. Of course that is just my opinion - but presentation is everything.

I think the Dem's have lots of choices. You just don't know them all.

    Hmmm...

Actually, this is what many said of Eisenhower and we all know where he ended up....

And perhaps the most principled member of Congress.

I am not questioning his intelligence, ethics, or popularity in his own state. I am merely stating an opinion that he is unelectable on his own (as President, not Vice President). Perception has always been more important than facts with politics. I think he is generally perceived as a wimpy man with a whiny annoying voice. It does not instill any confidence (also IMHO)

Jesse Ventura instilled confidence in the voters of Minnesota with his masculinity, tough persona, authoritative, forceful voice, and extreme confidence.

They elected him. He nearly ruined the state!

Any word yet on Governor Schwarzenegger's decision on Stanley "Tookie" Williams?

Don't support the death penalty but certainly view Williams as an evil, evil satanic man who deserves life in prison and at hard labor at that.

Speaking of Schwarzenegger, check this out.

Also, I am tempted to put the Bush pix back up since you said it was offensive. He's a good man doing a wonderful job and.................he can keep his pants zipped! :D

I am generally not for the death penalty myself. But if you are going to get rid of it, get rid of it for all 50 states. The problem I have always seen is that it is not given out uniformly and it seems to be more politically motivated than something to actually fit the crime.

With that said, the death penalty is in fact the law. Contrary to what is being said, Williams is NOT reformed. He still controls to some degree the Crips and will continue to do so. He is violent and is currently the only death row inmate in California with an active disciplinary record. He has assaulted guards, is arrogant and beligerant to staff. If he was truly reformed then he would repent his sins including his killings (he was convicted of four - but is a supsect in many more), and he would cooperate with authorities to reign in his old gang. Instead, people think this POS who writes childrens books is a hero. Frankly I could care less if Snoop Dog feels peace with Tookie - Snoop is a Crip himself.

Williams can make peace with his god. As for me, if anyone on death row should be executed, it should be him.

    Just my two.

P.S. I respectfully disagree with you Bush. He is a toad of a President and has disgraced the office. Give me 100 BJ's a day instead of continued rhetoric and lies about Iraq. Just my opinion - if you don't like it, make up your own! :D

No, he isn't, I don't think. If he were truly reformed would he still use his gang name, Tookie? I don't think so.

As for Snoop Dog, he's a punk and a hood too.

Did you just admit you take Viagra? :D :D :D :D

Now that I am on a tangent - I can't stand Mike Farrell either. I bet if his wife or daughter was raped or murdered, he wouldn't feel the same way.

No viagra for this kid - just as vibrant as I was at 20 - lol. (with a Dutch-Indo wife, it never stops - lol) :D
