Oops! I saw on the news Republican Congressman Randy Cunningham (San Diego) resigned amidst charges of receiving 2.5 million in bribes, I believe in connection with Pentagon contracts.

This cannot be good news for the Republican controlled congress.

Yes Abner - there is a Santa Claus. The Republicans are self destructing. In all of of their self-rightous bible thumping rhetoric, they are proving that they are merely feable minded criminals. Delay is next - the house of cards is falling. I predict the mid-term elections will see major changes - and Bush will become even more inconsequential.

Amen to that! I could not have said it better myself. As I have said in the past, I predict there will be many more scandals to come. The Republicans will self destruct, they have already lost the trust of the people. 2006 and 2008 are starting to look really good.

    Happy holidays Mr. Engineer!

To quote Denis Hoper in Flash Back, "this government has created two social classes, the truly greedy and the truly needy". I guess the former congressman and soon to be convict is a member of the former.

Miguel makes his point and rhymes too. I agree there is a problem within this administration. I guess that is why Bush is forcing people to take ethic classes.

Yeah, I wish I could make things rhyme like Miguel while making a good point. I was thinking how funny it is indeed that Bush is suddenly having senior members of government take ethics classes. In trying to make himself look good, he just looks worse.
