    Same old, same old.

If she thinks Libby's alleged crimes don't implicate the Administration, I think she's in for a nasty shock.

My guess is that you and the Dems will be in for a nasty shock. Many people who are on the opposite side of the political fence from President Bush and know him personally, all say he is an honest and decent and good man.

However, the Republicans and the Democrats are out of control when it comes to spending and really doing what is best for the Ameriican people. Bush is trying but he is handicapped by the Dems and members of his own Party.

I like the Republican Party and many office holders who are in it. I am afraid, though, that both parties continue to be beholden to all the special interest groups that are now running amuck.

If we could just prohibit lobbyists and other special interest groups, what a grand body of government the Senate and House would be.

It may be time for me to return to the Libertarian Party after the Bush Administration completes its term. This is sad as Senators like Dewine, Collins, Snowe, Graham, McCain, Specter, and others and Governors like Romney, Riley, and others are good people but still bogged down with the day-to-day encounters with the lobbyists and other special interest groups who really hold the key to election and reelection with $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

You may well be right. Certainly, when I look at my own party, I don't like what I see.

    Several points:

    1. Anne Coulter is nuts and is strictly infotainment.

    2. I agree with Jimmy that the good members of the republican party are being overshadwoed and misused by the far right who are more interested in $$ than working towards the good of the nation.

    3. The Democrats are proving how pathetic they are lately. Miers, Katrina, Libby, 2000+ dead in Iraq, failure of the Social Security overhaul, Rove, Cheney, Frist, Delay, 60% dissaproval rating (released by FOX News no less), etc. The republican party is punching themselves in the face, and the Democrats can't give the knock out punch.

I'm not saying that the Democrats in power will be any better, or that they need be. However, the majority in this country want something different, and the Democrats can't present anything. All they say is, "well the Republicans are doing a bad job. We dcan do better." It seems like America is saying "Great!" "HOW?????" But the Dems just don't have an answer.

Unless the Democrats can come up with a different view of the future with them in charge, the country will just continue to suffer.
